Basically I'm looking for something new to play and I have no idea what, so instead of making this an outright datamining recommendation thread
>what multiplayer vidya are you currently playing
>what do you feel about it

I used to play Spiral Knights, mainly out of being introduced to it via the TF2 hatfaggotry and I ended up really liking it. It was far from a perfect game, what with
>terrible netcoding that was unsuitable for anything but what the game originally was, a fairly casual co-op dungeon crawler
>it severly lacking in content
>the facebook game tier energy system and progression
But it had a lot of good about it. It was pretty fun for the 30 or so minutes of playtime it offered per day, the music and artstyle were fantastic and I'm curious as to why Sega never made a single player spinoff with a decent developer, it offered a fair amount of build variety from a gunslinger to a swordsman to a muslim to a hybrid and the boss levels were really nicely made. I hate how they eventually started fucking with it, starting with bullshit like DLC content, the PvP minigame that was absurdly pay2win with said DLC content, absurdly grindy "silver key" dungeons that were a palette/elemental effect swap of the boss dungeons coupled with DEEPEST LORE type escape sequences after each one, the battle pets which ate up resources previously used for randomizing levels and doing just about anything that wasn't new content post tier 3. Last I heard they added something like a dodge or a shield bash, and the game is under new management and it might as well be dead now, what with them still not making new shit post the core.
I also used to play Atlas Reactor, which was a really neat idea. It was like Frozen Synapse with the simultaneous turns idea, but it had abilities split up into three, all which took different priorities. One was for healing, buffs, debuffs, or just general setup, and those occurred at the start of the turn. The other was for dashing abilities, which was basically your get out of a sticky situation card, and the last was attacks, followed by normal movement at the last priority. Basically you'd have to think ahead of what your opponents would be doing, whether or not they'd be using their dash and where they'd be going, where they would aim, and how to minimize risks while also thinking ahead as to how your next turn will play out. It was pretty simple to pick up, but absurdly fun to master. One of my favorite characters was a sentient children's toy whose gimmick is that every turn an afterimage of his spawns at his previous location, so the idea of thinking two turns ahead is his playstyle, with his damage outshining everyone else's with proper use. I enjoyed it, but I remember dropping it because of a few braindead characters who could deal absurd damage in a fuck you radius, or had practically undodgable attacks that could one shot you, through walls, shit like that.
I also used to play, and am planning to get back into Payday The Heist, I think I liked it more than Left 4 Dead by virtue of better soundtrack, a chiller community and some really satisfying missions. I was always curious about 2, especially since I got it for free for some reason, but it was like a 20gig download so I never bothered.
