You know how the first of each series had you traveling across the world, with the town you traded supplies in changing as you progressed though the game? Both sequels, instead, have a single hub area that you return to. Besides that disappointment, Dark Alliance two has five characters to choose from, at the start, and none of them are the three from the first game. Additionally, each of them has their own side-quest involving their backstory, that you can take on. There's also a system for making your own magic weapons at the shop, and dual-wielding. Both Drizzt and Artemis, from R.A. Salvatore's books, are unlockable, if you care for that series.
Return to Arms is a bit of a weird sequel. You have all the same classes, plus two beast races/classes. Right at the beginning, you're given a choice between good guys and bad guys, basically, and it completely changes the maps and missions you end up doing, including what you fight for the final boss. Rather than a bunch of maps that are, at least somewhat, conjoined, your hub is a magical plane where you select the next mission from a menu. It doesn't feel as much as a big, grand adventure as the first Champions, but it's still a good time.
