Anyway, there's a buttload of "productivity" software for even the Game Boy. Dictionaries, travel guides, the Bible, and even email clients, with a modem. The late eighties and early nineties were part of the global technological paradigm shift, where every fuck with enough money to start a business was trying to lock down the market for some service or product in office computing. Imagine being able to patent and license out network whiteboard software? Every goddamn company uses that.
Alas, none of it is particularly interesting on its own. I prefer to connect link cables and multiplayer adapters, despite never being able to play local multiplayer with anyone since like 2005.
