Because of the amount of time and study required to be proficient in programming, drawing, spriting, painting, designing sound, and everything else required to produce a complete product. If you don't know how to program, from where are you going to pull the time and drive needed to learn it to the point where you can do something impressive? Especially if you have a full time job that pays shit, like most people have.

Modifying games is often a thankless job, fraught with C&D orders or worse, depending on what you stick your fingers into. I burned out spending a few months last year hacking NES games. A whole lot of effort, zero satisfaction.

It's for Windows 3, and Windows 3 doesn't have plug-in language packs like later versions of it, so unless you want to install ウインドズ三。一一, you just have to guess. In case you couldn't figure it out, the site is written largely from the perspective of someone in 1993.

A dominions mod of any TW game would be an insane amount of work. Not only do you have a shit ton of factions to work with, but you also need to flesh out each faction put in since the majority of the depth for Dominions comes from mages and mage related hijinks.

Fucking cool dude, even if you don't feel you did something cool or satisfying, I can guarantee this stuff is better than 80% of the stuff anons on /v/ do. Its good to be able to suffer for something other that your own survival, that's what gives our lives meaning.
