>Once shining beacon of civilisation tier city existed years ago
>Now for some reason, be it plague, natural disaster, isolation, loss of resources, magic, science or something else the city has fallen to ruin
>You are a lone explorer going in, with no idea what to expect and the deeper you get the worse things are going from 'feral murders in generic ruins' to 'people that are now as good as monsters in some twisting nightmare at the root of it all'
From Bioshocks Rapture to Demon's Souls Boletaria, from Hollow Knights Hallownest to fucking Brinks floating utopia lost at sea the idea of being a visitor to some grand work of societal construction thats fallen to utter ruin has the strange kind of appeal to me as really well composed photography of dilapidated and abandoned buildings in real life. I love to fight enemies that are more melancholy and sad than epic and like post-post apocalyptic games where the world ended, society restarted but regards rusted out skyscrapers as 'temples of the ancients' or some shit that feeling of 'you dont even remember how much you have lost' seems like the most effect hook to get me interested in a videogame.
Do you have a comparable feel to the feel i am feeling deeply?
