I absolutely loved Viva Pinata, the music was too notch, the animations were fluid and we'll blended, the gameplay was (somewhat) intuitive and it felt like you were making your own little paradise to be proud of.
The only issues I had were later on when you were going for the "top level" pinatas where they weren't intuitive and required shit outside the normal scope of understanding of in-game mechanics to get/romance/alter. Certain species were absolutely ass piss to get.

Exactly, having to remove a ton of your already established plants, houses and other shit just to make room for animal specific items to meet requirements was tedious, agitating and shit.
You'd and I know this sounds gay, but humour me here grow attached to certain animals or features that you'd spend ages getting just autistically right only to have to sell/smash/remove them to fit more bullshit in. VP2: Trouble in Paradise fixed a good bit of the problem by adding extra biomes/gardens so you had more room to create stuff, but still felt constricted.
I miss seeing the moonlit nights over the garden and watching the Pretztails play and bounce around.

Yooka Laylee already red pilled me on Rare devs and how basically everything they ever did right was by accident. But Viva Pinata was already developed by a team of about 200, I think, besides the Rare cunts. It would be impossible to get everyone back so it would mostly be new people. So if they did make a 3 it would be a crapshoot whether or not it was any good like the originals. I would settle for RR coming to switch so I can actually own VP again, with the stream service they could remove it at a whim and I'd have to pay an annual fee.

There's been a lot of talk about it recently, mostly because Sega put out a bunch of new JSR merch out of nowhere.
