Since it's just gathering dust, I've chosen to do something with my Wii U. I just wanna play backup games of Wii U, Wii, GameCube and probably I'll use it for emulation.

How well does it emulate disc-based consoles?

I have this third party thing that let's you plug Gamecube controllers into it. Does it work with emus?

Will I need multiple hard drives?

Didn't expect that. I figured that would count as running natively.

Oh well, too bad since there are VC games that I bet I would have liked, but I guess they're working on improving that particular emulation?

Cool to hear about the controllers.

How does it handle the emulation of older consoles?

Can it emulate DS or something else that requires two screens?

I did it a couple days ago following that guide. If you're unable to follow instructions that simple, it has nothing to do with muh mental disorders, you're just dumb and lazy.

OK, I'll do it myself but I ask for a favor, please tell me what I will be needing (SD cards, hard drives, USB drives, Windows PC, things like that) before I go read the guide. That would help me.

Its provided in the guide. The warning is just there as a disclaimer so the mentally incapacitated don't chimp out when they don't follow instructions and brick. The process is mostly just downloading the necessary files and putting them where they belong. Just read the guide thoroughly and it just werks.

Yeah there's VC emulation for the DS, but it's a pain to set up, you have to inject it and all this crap, you're better off getting an actual DS or emulate on your computer if you're a drawfag, (too bad sound emulation isn't perfect) and it can't play all of the DS games. You could argue the n64 emulation is the only thing that VC offers.

It has the power to emulate all of the 2D consoles, there should be a retroarch build.

I've only put cfw on my console and haven't touched it since, but for the initial setup I assume it requires an SD card. After that, I think you can store games on an external HDD, probably with some additional setting up.
