I think to this day FFXI has probably the most expansive food inventory in any game, and it actually helps in combat. There's even little quirks like the cat race being able to eat raw fish or certain equipment giving certain foods different effects under certain circumstances. Even the stat boosts they give are more complicated that what you'd expect, with some working on percentages, some worked on a per level basis, bonuses with negatives and I think some that have a different effect depending on things like time of day or day of the week. That being said the crafting itself is just "put ingredients into menu and press button" but whatever. The game's 17 years old.

BOTW Hyrule was obviously intended to reflect Japan, unlike other zeldas that may have been more like something out of medieval europe. A highly mountainous island with japanese aesthetic in places like Kakariko, the fishing villaiges spelling? I almost can't believe I just blanked on how to spell "villaiges." When you start out, cardio is more a boredom problem than an endurance one. You can't go very long because you're just focused on how much it tires you. Also going straight to jogging will kill your feet if unprepared. For starters, just do steps in front of a movie or something, aim for 15m, then 20, then 30. Eventually it just becomes a welcome outlet for stress and an elliptical machine will start to sound like a great investment.

they're pretty good, but not really worth the price to import them. They're like big shortbread cookies, and a lot softer than you might expect. The chocolate is probably the best, maple is pretty bland. Cheese is better than you'd expect, but the smell is gross. Fruit is cool because it actually has little bits of fruit in it.

I got a bag of the pizza mix or whatever it was, it was on sale for 50 cents a bag years ago when the pharmacy was trying to get rid of it. If you've ever had any kind of pizza flavored snack like goldfish crackers or anything like that, that's what it tasted like. All the pieces were some kind of cracker/pretzel-like nugget of shitty flour, salt, and flavor dust, fried up or baked in some kind of oil to make them worse for you than shitty carbs already are. Honestly, I'm not sure anymore. I know most of them came from an all-in-one overhaul. MGSO, I think - but I don't remember what all I added on top of that. the only thing I ever really did was grab a shit ton of those durian fruits and cook them one by one. Since 1 cooked gives you a full heart refill plus like 3 bonus hearts, it was the easiest "recipe" to use. There's an area with a shit ton on durian too, so you just warp there, grab as many as you can, then cook them. If you cook 5 together it gives you like 20+ bonus hearts.

Sinner's Sandwich from Deadly Premonition. Decided to try and make it with some leftover turkey, strawberry jelly, and unsweetened Chex cereal. I was surprised that it was actually a really fucking delicious snack.
Best way to make it is jelly/jam on one slice of bread, with the cereal sitting in between the turkey which should be on the other slice of bread. It's important to have that crunchy cereal as a divider.
