No. There's a point in the ending of VLR where you wish they had just stopped trying to tie up loose ends because the explanations are just getting too ridiculous.

Imagine that feeling getting more intense evety minute over a period of 10 hours. That is Zero Time Dilemma.

If you liked Sigma, Phi and Luna from VLR, then it's worth playing their route in ZTD since it's all about them and it's by far the best part of the game. The rest is either fucking up Junpei and Akane, bland-ass OCs, or going full retard deluxe.

I didn't even play VLR. 999 was meant to be a standalone game, and from what I heard of the sequels, it seems I did the right choice.

Uchikoshi can most times pull off a new IP on his first go with something but every sequel he's ever made has been soulless in comparison. His new studio with the Danganronpa writer will most likely carry this over.

No, do not play ZTD. People defend it on here for some fucking reason but it's dogshit compared to the other two games. 999 was the objectively best in the series, VLR was a pretty decent sequel, but ZTD just shits on everything.
