Yeah, that's the one. It has a cool mechanic where the identity of the replicants is randomized, so you can't just look it up and get the best ending. You actually have to do detective work.

The book has sweet fuckall to do with the movie. Nobody who made the movie even read more than the first chapter of the book. even the name blade runner came from a different story. the only thing that they did take from the book is some of the character names and deckard's job.

Ah, I see how it is. Still better than just randomly making characters identify as asexual I guess but not by that much. And yeah, what most modern devs don't understand is that someone being a tranny should either be for an aesthetic choice that drives the character's look or PART of their personality, not the WHOLE of it. Then again, most trannies and drag queens have no personality to begin with.

SWERY is a hack fraud who has made like 2 worthwhile games and both were disastrous. deadly premonition is barely playable in whichever platform you install it and it was clearly rushed at the end with that nonsensical fucking ending. And D4 was never finished, that says it fucking all. there's nothing worse than leaving your fanbase blueballed like that.

I hope The Good Life (is that what it was called?) doesn't suck but I'm not holding my breath.

deadly premonition was fine, and the ending also was fine. what part of it was nonsensical to you? the entire setup with the meta-protagonist was done better than in something like Killer 7, and I really like how SWERY kept the dream ending vague up until the twist with the time-skip, confirming it was all real

re-using character names, themes, and imagery is a way older artistic technique than friggen Tarantino, many authors use this in novels (Nabokov, Updike, Salinger, etc). it's a way to keep a pseudo-cohesive "universe" to the story. David Lynch also does the same thing, so it's also a homage.

D4 was probably the weirdest shit he made yet. Time travel, catgirls, magic drugs (Swery seems to love magic drugs), deflecting knives with chewing gum, a man who can de-bone an entire fish with his mouth, avant garde, combat baseball on an airliner, Boston accents, and an obsession with the letter D. It's a fucking tragedy it will never be finished.

on ps3, the game runs at 10fps. on xbox, it looks like a 144p game. on PC, it crashes constantly.

the ending was also very clearly rushed. it feels like keysen was a red herring but then they said "fuck it, we're out of time and money, make him the real villain, turn him into a massive frog monster or some shit". and then they just made keysen become a giant whose only weakpoint is a human-sized doll of himself that he hides in his front pocket. was the whole keysen fight real or was the entire game a drugtrip caused by red seed gas? i cant even tell.
