untrue, most cracks are in reality just bypasses to denuvo, they still use the denuvo protected exe and thus still run denuvo.
This means that cracked denuvo games will still have performance issues.
712497 No.16146905
>>16146830
Wrong. Bypasses are something else entirely. A bypass is something like when Doom 2016 got bypassed by Voksi by using a Steam exploit, without Voksi having had to even touch the Denuvo protection.
Cracked Denuvo games are still running Denuvo, yes, but a gimped version of it that does nothing but run checks that don't phone home and don't have the ability to halt the game.
fc5c05 No.16146981
>>16146905
just because it's redirected to being local and not a server doesn't mean it isn't running that process.
The fact that it still has to run that process still causes performance issues.
That being said, a crack will run faster then denuvo, but it'll still have the bloat and partial slowdowns of a denuvo game.
When a game is running checks in the background that doesn't need to be there it's still slower then running without.
The code is still running, denuvo isn't completely removed, it's still slow.
You can compare the speed of some denuvo games to their cracks and then to their later updated version that removed denuvo and you will see this.
The crack will still run slower then the updated version.

CPY crack works for me on a Ryzen CPU, there seems to regularly be a divide on Intel/AMD with denuvo cracks.
There's no graphics options in-game, only presets, vsync, motion blur, and resolution, which is weird. The game so far is ok, but way too easy. Playing on ranger hardcore, there hasn't been any challenge whatsoever. The game starts very linear, and you get captured. So you're trying to sneak past enemies to free some guy, and it's pathetically easy. Even when spotted, enemies will just stare at you if you're in the darkness for five or more seconds before shooting you. You and your enemies both die very quickly, which is nice. In the first open world area you need to either sneak through or kill everyone in an anti-technology cult. Again, it was incredibly easy to sneak past everyone. I've also noticed oversights in the level design, such as floating objects and lamps embedded in the ground (that you can still turn on and off). One of the mechanics that annoys me is that when looting weapons, E replaces your weapon and R loots the ammo and attachments. Why not the other way around? Also, a lot of inventory stuff feels clunky. To switch thrown weapons, you have to hold the throw key for at least half a second, and then use the movement keys to select it. This is really slow and clearly console focused, plus the movement keys still move Artyom when the menu is open. You collect weapon attachments as you go, and you can freely add or remove them without consequence. There's a new crafting system with two resources, chemicals and scrap. You can make ammo and thrown weapons/items, and also clean your weapons at outposts. Weapon cleanliness affects damage, rate of fire, and other elements depending on the specific weapon. I'm not sure how I feel about the crafting system so far, I haven't gotten far enough into the game to decide on it. The open world kind of feels like STALKER with less freedom of choice and a much much lower difficulty curve. Maybe it will get harder as I proceed. Also, the game has a "Reader" mode for brainlets who can't play FPS games.

Well, they were pretty clear that the "cloud based destruction" was only going to be a feature of multiplayer - not single player. And yeah, the multiplayer is presumably dog shit (never tried that mode, don't want to), but the single player game is just Crackdown 1 but with better graphics. A lot of the criticism of the single player game is that it plays and feels like a game from 2007, which I would think would be a positive considering how shit games are today - and if people are disappointed that it's not some walky-talkie hand-holdy narrative farce, then yeah - I guess Crackdown 3 would be a disappointment. Also, they have shit taste and should neck themselves.

The game wasn't as bad as I expected. It doesn't go full open world meme. It had two relatively small open world levels with several standard linear ones, and one semi-open level in between. Even in the open world zones there was a heavy emphasis on enclosed stealth-oriented areas for the main story. As with Last Light, the good ending is largely dependent on not killing people, but unlike Last Light only certain kinds of people count. Bandits are always fine to kill, which is nice because it gives you an opportunity to actually USE some of the weapons you find on humans rather than only ever getting to shoot monsters.
The main complaint I really have about it is that it put way too much effort into making each zone completely different. Not original, just different. Otherwise it's as close to the core series that it could get after leaving Moscow, which had to happen. Oh, and they seem to have completely forgotten about the Dark Ones, not so much as a single mention anywhere in the game that I could find, even in historical context.

Honestly, it's a very simple question; did you like 2033 and Last Light? If yes, you're going to enjoy Exodus. If you didn't, no. It's more of the same.
The graphics have been improved (especially the character models and animations, Anna is surprisingly cute) but the general gameplay from the gunplay, balancing and world exploration is exactly the same. The transition to big sandbox levels has done little but add more travel time to finding little caches and secret nooks, something you already did constantly in the first two games (and this game does not make it any more interesting, changing it from a wayward tunnel to a shack on an island really doesn't feel that different), and driving a car or a boat around these maps quickly becomes an experience in tedium. It feels like that one level in Last Light where you drove a railcar stretched out to the point of nausea, constantly stopping to pick up little goodies on the side and then going back at it. The game is also happy to force you into stealth, making it absolutely mandatory to get through areas of the game undetected in forced stealth sections if you want to get the good ending (making it yet another game that puts emphasis on its guns and customisation, but don't you dare have fun with those or someone'll get hurt, you monster) and they've done literally nothing to improve on the stealth (besides FINALLY adding distractions), enemies will seriously not notice their friends falling dead to the floor right beside them even on higher difficulties and the game always has super-obvious passageways for stealthing entire areas because they couldn't be bothered to test the player's ability to be sneaky. Humanimals are also an incredibly generic addition that add absolutely nothing besides making the game feel like it's trying to ape fighting Ghouls from Fallout 4, and it's just as uninteresting there as it is here although that's a personal opinion, I'm really sick and tired of zombies getting crammed into these kinds of games.
tl;dr Ehhh. Maybe?

Also wanna say you're forced to use a pneumatic weapon like the Tikhar or the Hellsing later. This is because you can only make ammo for these out in the field while you can only craft ammo at work benches. This made it so I couldn't use my silent revolver rifle that's served me well since 2033, as that was a silent range weapon and it'd bean sacrificing a spot for either my assault rife or shotgun which couldn't happen.
The Hellsing is a bit of a let down, as you get it in the first part of Taiga but can't kill any Pioneers or Pirates, which make up 3 of the 4 camps you walk through. And there are nosalis in the dead city, making you shotgun a priority there instead of a silent range weapon.
The ammo counts for all weapons are also way down, I could only carry 48 shotgun shells with the ammo vest equipped and that didn't last long as you chew through them with monster encounters. 180 assault rifle is like 5 clips as goes past very quickly.
Had fun with it but suffers the same problem Dishonored did, to get the good ending you essentially have to be a pacifist.

You aren't really "forced" to use the pneumatic weapons, other than the fact that one of your 3 weapon slots is dedicated to one of them and can't carry a normal third gun. You don't need very much ammo, because as you mentioned killing humans is bad, and there aren't really that many mutants around that you need to be crafting shit. The exception is during the cannibal bunker and the final mission, but the cannibals drop so much ammo for shotguns and rifles that you could easily use nothing but that and never craft anything, and you can probably sneak past the librarians (I never tried).
One annoying thing about the ammo is that it resets between levels. You can leave the bridge level with full ammo for all 3 weapon slots and 600+ materials, but when you get into the next level you'll be down (or up) to about 200 materials and about 1.5 mags per weapon. Medkits and filters carry over though. The bright side is that means you don't need to horde all that shit all game.
I would really like it if there were some way to NG+ and play through the open world levels with the Helsing and railgun unlocked. Not being able to use the best weapons in the game except in areas they are explicitly unsuited for really sucks. I tried editing the saves but couldn't get it to work.

Taiga was the semi-open forest level right? I thought that level was the best in theory, combining linear design with plenty of open places to explore. In practice though unless you really want to find all the notes and NPC conversations you just b-line straight for the objectives, and the open spaces make it easy to simply walk right past all the enemies.

Exploring the game without using ammo or getting your gun dirty is tedious as fuck. You basically crawl around at night the whole time hoping nothing sees you, and savescumming when it does. You hate exploring anywhere because it's going to cost gun dirtiness or ammo or other resources. Even walking through a muddy puddle will make your gun dirty, which makes it jam. Cleaning the gun costs chemicals, which do not respawn. So essentially, walking around the game causes you to slowly run out of resources you cannot replace without pressing forwards, but this is an open world game demanding a lot of backtracking. Worst design flaw I've seen since the Fisher Price dialogue system in Fallout 4.
If they'd just include some respawning wandering bandits, it would be possible for the player to gradually restock after a hectic section of the game. Sucks.

The morality system doesn't work like that, it's a weird point system like in the previous games (especially the first one).
You can kill almost anyone shooting at you as long as you for no costs AFAICT and as long as you help the people that need help and don't kill people that surrender/mind their own business, you should still have enough to get a positive karma.
The only guys I think you really need to avoid killing I think are the merchants on the boat (I mean the guys do nothing to you and you're already stealing their boat… it's OK for the game telling you you're a dick for killing them when it's piss easy to sneak to the captain).
Then you have the fishermen (not the bridge guards), the pioneers & the children of the forest (not the pirates), the slaves (not the tribals), a couple of NPCs… all of which are unharmed and talk to you or hide/run from you.
The only unharmed NPC you can kill (and possibly should), is the real Baron.
NPCs will have different dialogues and different zone ending depending some of it but your men should still follow you.
However I'm 98% certain that lethal takedowns make you lose karma even on bandits (as you chose to kill when you have literally another button to push to not) which is the reason why people think you can't shoot back while in truth they've been slitting throats left and right and pretend they're not assholes…
Now you should still be positive if you do all the things that make you gain karma in a map, but my guess is if you do a lot of it and miss a gain you still end up negative, even if you didn't went out of your way to murder helpless people.
88ee1e No.16168299
>>16168226
Did you get the moral point loss on lethal takedowns? If not I don't think it counts. I never got a moral point gain from going full stealth either but maybe the game counted the guard ragdolling off the bridge as a kill.

In Ranger mode, played sneaky breaky murdering all the bandits in their sleep (but not the bridge guards, the merchants or any "civilians") game, did everything that gives you good karma and the got to the preacher and he yelled for his men to shoot us.
Restarted, got paranoid and went FULL sneak (I did NO takedown at all on fishermen and guards) but got in straight fights with the bandits.
The preacher mentioned that I had eradicated them… but he told his guards to let us through.
For the slaves, I messed up and got into lots of fights but did everything I could to gain karma (funnily enough there is a lot of karma to be won when the Baron invites you and his men are beating on slaves and girls… Yes you can deck the guys doing it in the middle of a giant crowd of enemies, they reacted the second time though and it turned into a giant mess, but while I was fully expecting Damir to stay behind since I killed many tribals, he still stayed.
And on the next one I got into a fight with pirates last base but I just rushed out only killing a couple and Alyosha wasn't hurt.
So my conclusion is that either lethal take-downs cost karma or the games tracks whether or not you're starting the firefights (and if you tried to sneak but got caught you don't gain karma for being nice to the locals but you don't loose any either, so doing the few good things is enough).
Also it's entirely possible karma doesn't reset between maps.
In anyway it's clearly not killing = bad, not killing = good.

Crosshair is the least of my issues. It's a very stupid change (basically all UI-removal is retarded), but the worst part of Ranger is the lack of Quicksave. Also for throwing knives, I like to aim with my (scoped+laser) weapon, seems to work pretty accurately.
Quicksave in this game is not quite what you would normally think of. Instead of saving every two steps in order to get the exactly perfect approach to combat, you can't save in combat at all. Instead Quicksave generally takes the place of what normally would be "hard" saving, giving you some place to fall back to if your autosave is fucked, because only quick and auto exist. It also helps in the open world and dialog areas if you don't trigger an autosave for an extended period.

except areas are much smaller, more boring (especially that dreadful desert level) and game doesn't even know if it wants to be scripted story driven game or open world game since it switches between both constantly and doesn't give you much freedom you have to do story objectives how devs want , otherwise you won't be able to progress to next level.
Looting is boring (and desert level had multiple buildings with either no loot or just 1-2 bodies i can't think of lazier game design environment textures also looked like they would come from 2001), there are not enough guns, weapon upgrades are lame (just pick the best attachment with no cons bro, only 45 ammo mag and silencer have cons with less accuracy/lowered dmg).

When I first heard it was "exploration, survival, crafting, shooter" I thought it'd be way worse. The crafting is kinda retarded since there's only two substances but it's not obnoxious so far. I like that I can plan trips at certain times and that the enemies call you out similar to fear.
