Either way, Starbreeze being terrible should come to no surprise to anyone doing the slightest bit of research. It's honestly a miracle Payday 2 was as good as it was to begin with.

Take embed related for example. Flashbangs in Payday 2 used to be instant flashbang explosions with no way to see them coming or counter them. The decision is nicely justified with the quality quote: "Your opinion, My choice".

But that's not the only thing. The list of retardation goes on:

Playing at high difficulty essentially boils down to using as much cheese skills together as possible. I had a lot of fun with Payday, I'd play it on and off over the years, good times. Shadow Raid was always fun when you had the right crew after 5+ restarts Honestly impressive they could get everything they put in to run at all, seeing as how the engine was originally built for racing games. Also no facial animations always bothered the shit out of me. Fun game, sad to see it go down the way it did though.

I Personally was very sad to see what Payday2 was in the initial days. It was an absolute shitshow compared to what was promised. An example: Multi-day heists.

I also think that they really said fuck you to the consumer and the existing playerbase when they released DLC. They had an incomplete game that they had lied about what was being offered, and then only years later, after numerous DLC pieces, have they achieved anything near what they had originally promised.

Anti-cheat was a joke, still is. Pirateparty if anyone's interested.

That's a gateway drug to whales buying accounts from Chinese miners instead of buying their boons from the game store.

Not a lot of incentive to buy DLC gun when you already lost your sense of progression after unlocking 95% of everything.

Payday 2 has always been DLC, DLC, sale so current players gift game/they were banned, DLC, newer players buy DLC at full price, DLC, events and daily grind to keep playercount up.

It's always been about monetization and "hey let's make it so that when our game dies and the servers go down a few people can still LAN play it" isn't monetization.

Unless normalfags get into LAN play, there's not enough financial incentive to even think about it.
