As fun and cheesy as SotN's localization is it actually makes NISA look good in terms of quality. So I typically play the fan translation. Notably, it doesn't shoehorn in LotR references, most offensive one to me is Marsil instead of Läevateinn. Plus the Japanese voicing has its own hilarious screams and Norio Wakamoto. Similarly, OoE and PoR have some amazing Engrish like Charlotte and Dracula's magic.

Talking about that: The PSP is actually really fun to take apart and repair. It is super compact and is built exceptionally well. I had to replace the left daughterboard with a busted on/off switch and the joystick, and although I do not have a whole lot of experience beyond Nintendo consoles (those things are so fucking simple, but effective) I was able to do the repair fairly quickly. Great production quality, and the internals are sturdy as fuck. Components can be easily taken off and replaced, and it works like a charm now.

I'll just shill the local Vita general and its hacking guide because it's amazing what random autists have done to fix Sony's wrongs. So for some Vita models you still need a proprietary memory card to do the jailbreak but literally any will do. After that you have various SD card adapters, best is the PSVSD if you can get a 3G model but SD2Vita is manageable as long as you don't need cartridges (you can rip games from them to SD anyway).

When the released 2.0 in June, it was almost immediately cracked due to a bug in the web browser that allowed for downgrades back into 1.5 (which allowed for trivial piracy). The only thing that "saved" the system was the PSP-2000 release.
Further success was mostly found by piggybacking on PS2 (and later PS3) games. The two top sellers on the platform are both grand theft auto games, while other top sellers include games like Call of Duty, Crisis Core (FF7), Tekken, Gran Turismo, et cetera. Every version of FIFA soccer (2007 to 2011) sold better than any game anybody would ever consider importing.
Suggesting that censorship and imports had something to do with the PSP's success is incredibly out of touch with reality. The system was sold on piracy, fifa soccer and edgy gun games for 12 year olds.

It's fine. It's just an option in CFW boot menus to run at 333mhz instead of 222mhz. Apparently it technically isn't even an overclock because the processor is designed to run at 333mhz, but for some reason the PSP runs at 222mhz. Setting it to 333mhz will drain the battery faster though, but it's not like the voltage increases or anything so I don't think it would cause any potential damage at all. It's not always a noticeable increase in performance but it helps with shit like ghosting in GTA. Other than that it apparently improves FPS in some games.
