It has been shown time and time again that Bethesda is too incompetent, even for that. Skyrim 2 will most likely make money but not as much early on. It will pick up later when there are enough mods to justifiy a purchase unless Todd goes nuclear and decides to make modding outside of the Creation Club illegal.

The issue isn't the engine. If it's not capable of producing the kinds of games they want to make, then they should either scale back their development to make the kinds of games that Creation CAN handle - or they should move to a new engine.

In any case, the fault comes down to incompetence. That's not something they can easily fix. It would require a lot of money and some down time to restructure the company. Zenimax is run by a Jew so Jewish that even the Jews kicked him out of banking for life, and they have a 20+ year history of cutting budgets so close to the bone that they can't even afford to hire QA (which again, because of their incompetence - would be a massive undertaking and a huge money sink).

Bethesda isn't going to change. Rumor is that the entire Fallout 76 debacle was just an ploy to dangle the Cash-Shop bait in front of Zenimax to get them to come off the cash needed to expand Bethesda's staff and upgrade their machines just so that they could keep doing their jobs. The game itself is pointless now and they may be actively trying to sabotage it either to keep it from draining the resources it helped to secure, or to create such a shit-show that it ends up being leverage in some kind of internal power struggle.
