GunZ: The Duel
What the fuck is it?
The best thing to come out of worst Korea, GunZ is a stylish shooter about going crazy with swords, guns and animation cancels.
We're using the Refined GunZ build, featuring custom game modes, voice chat, widescreen support, and rebalanced gameplay.
Why should i play this dead gook shooter?
I've freshened things up a little and replaced some sounds with the ones from GunZ 2, along with it's soundtrack.
In addition, all items are now free of all stat increases (except rings, they now only increase the very important max weight stat), unlike vanilla GunZ, where you pay up like a good goy to get good stats. Now you can wear whatever you want without worrying about min-maxing everything. This will leave everyone with no AP (Armor Points), So be sure to force your desired HP/AP value for everyone in the match in your game room's option menu.
Protips
Somehow, characters you create always start with Dual SMGs, so to remediate this, i've made all of the starting weapons free. Make sure to grab them at the Shop.
Again, make sure HP/AP values are forced in the room settings menu. I recommend values between 100/100 and 140/140.
Always play at the Anti-lead netcode. Server-based is unfinished, and Lead is lag-switch friendly.
You can charge your sword by blocking strikes or holding the attack button. Charged attacks deal additional damage and stun your opponent.
Leave the FPS limiter at 250. Nothing more, nothing less.
Snow_Town is the comfiest map.

I'd be running around with my submachine guns and see a couple of faggots doing "butterfly style" or whatever the fuck they called it, spamming jumps and katana moves to levitate and bounce off the walls like a doped hummingbird trying to project close enough to the other guy to slice him.
I'd get annoyed that they were interrupting muh team deathmatch with this gay tryhard shit, and they were also the ones who talked shit calling me a "spray noob" for using submachine guns, so I started using explosives and blowing every pair of duelling faggots up to harvest their salt in chat. They got so fucking pissed that I was spoiling the Naruto fantasy they'd spent a thousand hours gookclicking to perfection with my retard-friendly underage grenade launcher. I think I even started joining duel-only servers to do it once I got hooked on the taste.

From what I remember it was pretty fun when I was a dumb kid. It's very Matrix-esque with going from shooting dual SMGs while wall-running to *unsheathes katana*. I suppose I'll find out soon enough whether it's still worth playing.

It was good because the glitches that raised the skillset of the game. The sequel removed it and turned the game into a generic third person shooter despite the visual overhaul, which is why people didn't like it.

Played this a long time ago. I remember the pro players used the K-style jumps while quick-switching to shotgun between jumps. Could never get it down myself, though I just preferred using dual pistols and the assault rifle myself.

English speaking, pretty close to vanilla.
Note that both are all entirely populated by salty autists who have played this game since 2007. Both also have weapons that are locked to donators only, but Freestyle Gunz allows you to grind it out to get those also IIRC. Freestyle is usually around 150 players, UniverseGamers is around 200-300. Almost everyone is a kstyler on these servers.

i havent played in fucking years but i used to be amazing at killing kstylers. Salt was a fucking guarantee. Another thing i noticed people would do is if they were in an extended duel sometimes people would stop to type something. I think they did this to fuck up someones flow when they were losing so they can try to make a comeback because whenever i shot them while they were typing they would get fucking pissed.

I used to generate salt the same way, people would kick me out of the duels once they saw me using something other than two shotguns. Spraying is actually really good when there's no lag, even with reload shot it's hard to take a sprayer down. Rifles are really powerful.
Reload shot is basically animation cancelling when using two shotguns, it turns shotguns into a fucking SMG (except better) and also can hurt really bad even from a distance.
I enjoyed playing this game today, it was far closer to iGunz than to ijjiGunz, keep it up OP.

The closest thing to a game like GunZ would be S4 League. There was also a spiritual successor being developed for UE4, but the developers strayed too far from the premise and were asking for shekels on Kickstarter. It didn't go well.
The new copyright owners, Masangsoft, are planning on a new international release, but that was said years ago. Also, they've made some gameplay changes on the gook version.
