Can't say I'll miss it that much. That gen gave us our current culture of pre-orders and DLC, plus Microsoft getting away with charging people for online made Sony and Nintendo think it was okay to do it too. Games got better graphics but lacked any real substance, content, or mechanical depth. I do have a few fond memories, but definitely not as many as I did with just about any other gen. I will say, PS3 was an extra bit of fun for me because of how fucking easy it was to pirate anime on it.

I honestly can only think of one game from the 7th gen that I could label as having really loved. If I had to put together a top 20 or something of my favorite games, gens 3, 4, 5 and 6 would be represented, but 7 would have only one game. Puzzle games outright died with gen 7, leaving only Puyo Puyo, Tetris and Puyo Puyo Tetris. For all they got wrong in the story (Kojima is a hack, Ghost Babel and AC!D best etc.), when you actually get to PLAY the damn game it's pretty good. They had this whole "dynamic battle" sort of thing where the middle eastern section would change your routing depending on whether you helped the mercenaries or not, the jungle part also had something similar, MGOnline was awesome despite lasting so little and the fucking amount of funs was incredible.
Too bad you use that shit for like 10% of the game. Dynamic camo is underused, stamina of a decaying clone never plays any real effect nor does stress, they literally could've let you have mini missions after the game that would play in the same levels you beat a la ground zeroes but no, let's show some more MUH BASED NEGRO GUN'S SALESMAN AND FUNNY MONKEY

Is that truly enoug to sell console? i don't know especially knowing how fucked up game devs are now days(looking at you Deep silver), every single non japs game might turn in to huge failure.

thank you that's basically what it was. It was a movie on rails faux illusion game that was intriguing and quirky. However it's not a good game and has no replay value as a gamer beyond wanted to see some MGS shit again. That's about it it's probably the worst game in the entire series.

You're right, they did give away Muramasa Rebirth in 2014, so the last two games should have been Persona 4 Golden and Odin Sphere Leifthrasir if they wanted to show even a tiny amount of respect to their best portable system.

I honestly feel sorry for everyone who supported kuSOnY during all these years, i was a piratefag with the Vita from day one, can't forget those shitty vitamin dumps that didn't let you play any atelier properly or the fact that the 64GB memory cards had an insanely high failure rate and one as a gaijin had no warranty when importing.

>nowhere near as many interesting tools or weapons
>a much more restrictive weapon limit

>less enemy variety

>what are essentially QTEs in the fights against the teleporting bullet sponge soldiers
>no gameplay scenarios even half as interesting as 4's big battles that you could sneak through and choose which side to help out even though V's settings are tailor made for that kind of scenario what the fuck
>unskippable walkie-talkie sections where you're forced to walk slowly and listen to shitty exposition dumps
That last point might be the most egregious one to me. MGS4 gets a lot of shit for being a movie, but MGSV is much more restrictive (and much more often) than any part of MGS4 is.
As an open world game it didn't do anything I hadn't seen done before and as a stealth game it just made me want to play any of its predecessors instead.

Outside of maybe 2-3 "decent" indie games, there was literally nothing worthwhile released on pee ess plus in the last 2 years, and before then it was maybe 2 good games per year released, 3-5 max which is definitely not worth paying for that trash
