I think I just figured out a major plot point for the current story arc…
I was playing through KH2:FM to refresh, in anticipation for 3 in the coming week. I noticed a seeming inconsistency in the lore when I got to that fancy snowglobe that Mickey keeps in his basement. When Xehanort wants to time travel, there are Rules™ that prevent changing the past. For example, whatever method he's using requires that some version of one's self exists in the time period that they're trying to get to, which is a limitation upon how far back one can go. There are also certain things that you can't change and a degree of amnesia involved. However, the Timeless River is different…
Handwaving Merlin's ability to summon the magic door to yesteryear, I want to focus on Pete's door. Maleficent starts PMSing on Pete and makes him cry because he's a sensitive individual. Suddenly something magical happens offscreen after he wishes to go back to "the good ol' days." The door to the Timeless River, and Pete's boat, appears behind him. This enables him to travel back to his own past.
The problem arises when Sora is somehow able to return to this period. Depending upon how you want to do this timeline, Sora didn't even exist yet. He certainly wouldn't have been anywhere near Cornerstone Hill even if he did. This would therefore be a violation of the time travel rules that are already established. This means that we need to allow for other methods of time travel to exist which don't carry the same restrictions.
< The door is not leading to a parallel or simulated world. It leads to the actual past.
If the door wasn't leading to the actual past, then Merlin wouldn't have had to warn Sora & Co. that they would be tempted to do something dark.
< Unless we're dealing with a case of Unreliable Narrator, it's reasonable to assume that Sora could have, if he so desired, changed the future.
If you want to make the claim that Sora could not have changed the future, I need to know why the writers included his dialogue with Donald where they mused that they could.

If you listen to the sound effect that's played when the door appears behind him, it doesn't sound like Darkness to me. There are other instances of Light/Hearts opening doors throughout the series too. For example near the end of KH2, when the Worlds provide a door allowing you to follow after Xemnas. Also when Riku and Sora are on the beach in the Realm of Darkness, the door to the Realm of Light appears. So we have precedence for this. Perhaps Light can allow time travel with different restrictions than Darkness can because of reasons and stuff.
So here's my theory:
Somebody, who is called the Master of Masters in KH:χ, goes back in time and starts up a bunch of nonsense… He gives Luxu his eyeball sword and the box of MacGuffin and then makes his way to the back of the milk carton. Obviously I'm thinking he took a doorway similar to the one that leads to the Timeless River in order to get there in the first place. Whether he's hiding in the box of MacGuffin or used the door again to skip town is irrelevant. We already know the eyeball sword is the method he used to write the Book of Prophecy. We already know that he intententionally sewed discord between the 6 keydudes for some unknown purpose. We know that the 6 are named after 6 of the 7 deadly sins. The box says "xsuper", short for Superbia, which is Pride, and probably the Master's actual name. I'm thinking that MoM concocted all of this, within the boundaries of whatever restrictions exist on this type of time travel, TO change the future. So his jazz about the Light expiring may have, in fact, been wishful thinking on his part. Something like, "I'll tell them a bunch of stuff that I have already happening, then I'll tell them the Light will die and they'll believe me! Boom, self fulfilling prophecy!"
This would sort of explain why the keydudes are named after deadly sins. MoM, whoever he is, is using everybody's vices against them to affect the future that he desires. In other words, MoM came from a timeline where the Light was firmly in control and then lied about the future in order to make the lie become true. This makes for some even more interesting storytelling because, if I'm right about Pete's door being of the Light, then that would mean that the Light found reason to grant MoM a door in the first place. What the hell happened to MoM in a Light filled future that would make him want to go to the past in the first place?
I might have decided that this was just too much speculation if not for the Cornerstone of Light being involved… That is just too much of a coincidence and I suspect we're going to get some backstory on it. Did you notice also how the cornerstone is a Sphere? Can't wait to see the Pyramid of Darkness too! I'm really itching for Square-Enix to announce their future partnership with Bungie.

After watching Sirlion's stream, I think I comprehend MoM goal: entrap a time traveler's heart into Kingdom Hearts, so he can freely travel across time and form a universe as he wishes.
The idea that Kingdom Hearts itself is just a universe slater, itself has not time traveling properties. However means Xenahort and other keybladers like King Mickey & Yen Sid can across their timelines, MoM couldn't timetravel with consequence. Luxus may have time traveled just to the time everyone was just confused, and Ava sent the next generation of sacrifices to the next Kingdom Hearts.
Basically entropy for time travel, you need multiple universes if you want to shape and time travel freely in "one".
Sora is just a gullible idiot who made himself "not exist" in their universe in order to return the dead from the final world/world's end.
I'm very certain Namine, Xion, and Riku do play a role in the connection to that universe. Xenahort & Eraqus were casualties. Scale to heaven, "where worlds are made," Luxus must have lied a lot to Xenahort.

Doing flowmotion except for movement is a terrible idea because it's finicky and it's moves are shit for damage. If you want i-frames just spam dodge roll and guard like every ever KH.

It really isn't. You get rage form when you suck (it has a chance to trigger at low health) and you have to give up all your HP for a move that does just as much as the other moves that don't require you to be at low HP.

You get those flashy finishers by either doing 3 magic finishers or combo finishers, and the only ones worth anything are the magic ones, the keyblade and attraction ones take way too long. KH3 is just magic spam: the game if you want it to be anything but a slog.

Welp, just finished it, complete hot piece of trash. I don't feel any loss or sadness, I knew it was going to be shit far before now, just tired after playing it start to finish in 30 hours straight. Only thing that absolutely drives me crazy about this game is Nomura's gross incompetence right after Final World and how Sora and Crew can struggle to kill Heartless when they've got to face 13 of the strongest motherfuckers around.
Last boss was garbage too. After KHII spending my time slashing through skyscrapers, I wanted to be flinging entire planets at Xehanort. A complete 5/10 video game. Playable but boring.

If you're talking about the scene where Riku snaps off Sora's and the eventual return of it to Sora, that was clearly an issue over ownership. While it's not very fucking clear nowadays, it's still stated that the keyblades "choose" their wielders, and while Riku was about to go full darkness, his objectives were still noble in KHI. It doesn't help that they constant pratal on about people being worthy/not worthy when people like Vanitas made of pure darkness can get a handle on one. But say that I agree with

That doesn't make sense though, how does Strike Raid work then? Unless there's a snappable distance limit? How far is this limit? I know Aqua sent her armor to get Terra out, I remember that part, what doesn't make sense to me is why wasn't she able to get it back once she sent it. She didn't give up on her keyblade she just couldn't lift two people fast enough so she could only send one, she should still have been able to get it back or at the very least some reason given why keyblade retrieval doesn't work over long distances.

Her keyblade is found in the courtyard with her armor and Terranort, so she sent it back with him and I'm guessing doing that meant she couldn't get it back while separated by the barrier between worlds, I guess. And I'd guess Eraqus' keyblade can do some of the teleporty shit just because of rule of cool. But again, I have no idea how she lost that one. Unless they're trying to say that in the ending of 0.2 when she set it down beside her and she fell away as Destiny Islands was being restored that Eraqus' keyblade somehow went with the islands and she stayed behind. If that's the case they sure didn't convey it very well.

Let's face it, the ice maze was just to pad out the world which was lacking in content anyway, as evidenced by being this weird pocket portal place. Frozen world was easily the worst one.
