If the anime you're referring to is Joker, he uses a knife and a persona. My guess is that his gameplay will be something like either the persona 4 fighting game, or Jojo's bizzare adventure: Heritage for the future. You can have no fucking clue who he is, and that's fine, but he's unlikely to play like anybody we have in the roster right now. As for the plant, He's an easy joke character. Given the history between Nintendo and the Tetris Company, as well as the fact that Nintendo sponsors the official Classic Tetris World Championships, I'm sure they'd be more amiable and open to it. Doesn't matter. That wasn't your original argument. And a character's status is more important than their moveset potential in Smash because moveset potential is ubiquitous. You can create a moveset for literally anything you can think of (as Piranha Plant clearly demonstrates). So it is therefore more important to pick characters with history that increase the variety of the roster and that won't cheapen the value of the game in people's eyes, which generic enemies from the Mario series most certainly do.

You can compound different points into a single argument. You can't disregard one statement that reinforces an argument just because it wasn't brought up at the exact same time as the original statement. And furthermore, Ray mk1 has a decent chance, especially if you take into account Sakurai saying the smash ballot had a big effect on character choice this time around, and that many mii costumes have already received proper fighters. Another thing that may point towards his inclusion is an exclusion of a Mk01 spirit, while we have both two and three. I also noticed something a little odd about the spirit battles on the board and in adventure. I have almost every spirit now, and I don't think I played a single spirit battle against a Cloud.

I believe I have fought everyone else on the roster as possessed by a spirit, including the fucking Miis, except for Cloud and maybe Toon Link. Combined with the lack of any FF spirits, I don't think Sakurai even wanted to include Cloud.

Not really; it makes more sense to be really good at a few characters than just pretty good at everyone. As for how many, you should honestly focus on a single main if it's your first time going tryhard mode. Completely master that character, then build out by counterpicking: make your next character one that's strong against your main's weaknesses. For example, if you main Ganon, your next character should be someone fast and/or with a good projectile counter (because Ganon sucks against projectile spammers).

If you haven't played Halo this is basically a devastation beam that only fires when it's fully charged up. It won't fire unless fully charged. Once fully charged it becomes a deadly weapon with huge range and you can blow up vehicles with it.

The Energy Sword is a weapon that usually instantly kills the opponent, but if it's a glancing blow it merely drains their shields. Could function like a gross between Ganon's side B grab and Fox's side B illusion.

Down+B: Armor Lock

An armor ability from Halo Reach. While holding the button down, Chief will crouch and receive a shield boost that makes him nearly invincible, but he cannot move while using it. Using this move in Smash would give him infinite armor while it's in use. Upon releasing it or using it for five seconds, he drops the lock and releases an EMP blast which in the original game depleted the enemy's shields (I imagine in Smash it would temporarily make them suffer greater knockback). The longer he charges the stronger and more far-reaching the EMP.

Up+B: Jetpack

Kinda explains itself. Would be cool if he could fire weapons while flying.

There are also plenty of weapons he could use such as needlers (covenant weapons that shoot energy crystals that explode if enough of them land inside their opponent), sticky grenades, plasma rifles, fuel rod guns, the gravity hammer and the SPNKR rocket launcher.

For his Final Smash, he would jump into space and would basically recreate the scene from Halo 2 where he takes the Covenant antimatter bomb and kicks it into one of their capitol ships, except this time he kicks it to the stage and blows everyone up.

Anyone try this game with Pro Controller? I try switching between Gamecube and Pro and I find Pro to be fairly comfortable. The only thing that bugs the piss out of me is the lack of an octangular gate. I also got used to the diamond shaped buttons since last Smash I played was 3DS. Didn't bother getting Wii U.

Megaman.EXE Moveset:

Gimmick 1: Chipset. Megaman has Super Stale-Move Negation. Repeated use of abilities reduce damage and knockback far more than normal, while doing the opposite, staggering repeated ability use, can result in a slight damage increase(at max 3-5%), but the main focus is to boost the effects of all elemental abilities and Moves.

Gimmick 2: Full Synchro: Interrupting opponent's moves at the right frame can result in the next attack having increased Knockback. Can use the next attack to keep Full Synchro going, but can't stack it.

Neutral B:

Elemental affinity Basically does minor damage increase if you use the right element on the right enemy.(Fire on Piranha Plant, Water on Bowser or Charizard, Grass on Pikachu/Pichu), but also makes him vulnerable to a specific element. This element causes .EXE to flinch, and knocks him back into neutral.

Switching which Style/Soul you use resets the Stale Move Negation, however, if you switch back to the same style after it expires, you’re immediately set to the lowest state of stale move negation with ALL of your moves.

Down B:

>Reflect. Forward facing projectile reflect.

Side B:

>Cannon: Basic projectile attack with moderate damage and knockback. Water(Bubbler) element replaces knockback with an extended hitbox behind the target it hits, Electric(Zap Ring) makes it cause 2-4 frame paralysis with lower damage percentage, Fire does a few frames of persistent damage, and Wood causes a short decrease in forward/backward/aerial movement in the target. The effects of each element increase/decrease in potency as Chipset does.

Anyone use the PowerA Enhanced Wireless controller for Smash? It's $40. Looking through the reviews, the biggest issue seems to be the left joystick is more sensitive than the Pro, meaning that unless you're used to it, you can do a lot of unintentional directional inputs.

I think Adam Jensen would be more likely because his design is more visually interesting, he was actually on a nintendo console once, he had the starring role in TWO games, and his VA can still do the voice if they want new lines. His arm blades would make for decent smash moves, and his hand could do the spinny neck-break thing as a backward throw (but instead just twirl his victim rather than break their neck).

However, Denton's smash attacks could involve a telescopic baton and one of his specials could include that little drone he can summon via nanites. Also, prod with the prod. I'm not sure if his VA can still do the voice, or if he's even alive.

Juan is also additionally unlikely since he's already a character in some other indie smash-like called Brawlout.

SMT has its roots in Super Famicom with the original. Persona is a spin-off of SMT. Joker may have not been likely but the SMT connection with Nintendo is there. Especially with Persona Q2 including Joker. That said Drakengaurd is the only Nier connected game series to be on Nintendo as far as I know of. Unless we get a Nier Gestalt and Nier Automata collection for the Switch I can't see 2booty in this edition of Smash Bros. Plus she's in Soul Calubur 6 already. Batman, Arkham Asylum was ported to Wii U at one point, he's also had a variety of games between the NES and SNES.

Luke Skywalker, Super Star Wars is an easily recommended Super Nintendo game.
