Elite Dangerous, where the term "Dad" is an epithet for a certain type of old school space sim player that wants the game to play exactly like the 80's game but with prettier graphics and be as tedious and grindy as possible. They spend a grueling 14 hours day driving semi trucks in real life and when they get home they then crack open a cold one and spend the whole two hours of free time a week they get pretending to be a truck driver in space. They tell anyone that wants the game's grind reduced "to go play arcade games" or complain about how gamers nowadays want instant gratification and refer to all any pvp players as "psychopaths". They are a blight on the game, and drastically hold ED back.

There was this one time I was replaying Valkyrie Profile on my phone (PS1 Version) while my daughter was playing Roblox and she said she doesn't like it when I play lame dad games like that and that I should be like the cool dads and play gun games.

I know she's talking about Halo and Call of Duty because when I take her to her friends houses their dads are always playing them in the living room.

I never played Cuba but if a startlingly autistic A-10 sim is what you're after check out DCS World. I got the Huey module and it's basically 1:1 realism, and I hear the A-10 module is also as detailed.

Can't provide specific games, but fighting games, SHMUPs, beat em ups and run and guns as a whole tend to sit well with them, I know because i play those with my father and he loves them, but he also likes shooting niggers in grand theft auto, shame he can't handle racing games or any other genre besides those i mentioned, hell the most recent games i could get him to play were hardcorps uprising, dariusburst, gta iv/v, phantom breaker battlegrounds and dragon's crown.
