I have no fucking clue, its supposed to take place in 2010, 5 years after Tri, they had Kakudo (the director of Adventure and 02) but he fucked off seemingly because he thought it was going to be shit, take in count, he was the one behind 02's epilogue and had the idea that the next step after 02 should be about Digimon vs Aliens (that's why Matt is an astronaut in the epilogue), so its going to be a fucking shitshow and probably worse than Tri.

iirc Tamers wasnt that succesful in Japan because it wasn't Adventure and only picked up steam in ratings around the time the matrix evo's happened, which lead Toei to believe that the digimon-human fusions were what were bringing people in instead of the plot, which is why Frontier had that gimmick in the first place, it was way more succesful in the west and it has a bit of a cult following in Japan now, its still not as popular as Adventureshit tho.
Frontier bombed, it bombed so hard it killed Toei's yearly movie festival they had done since the 60s because of how bad it bombed.
Savers did well iirc but the merch didnt sell so Bandai didn't consider it a success.
Also the fox pussy is only part of why im mad, im more angry because Tri made me fucking hate the Adventure cast, and the fact we are getting more of them instead of something new or a sequel to something good like Tamers gets me fucking pissed, specially since Konaka had already set up a sequel with last year's audio drama.

Alright anons, I'm autistic as fuck and want to make a whole digivolution chart based on what digimon I like/what I would want from a partner line.
However, I don't know how to handle it. The Kuramon/Keramon line is my favorite, so I want it to be the base skeleton everything else is built around
Should I try to just have it include every digimon I like via any obscure evolution method no matter how illogical they are off of kuramon (and then Tsumemon, Pagumon, and Arkadimon baby) or should I try to stick with mons that have some sort of thematic consistency? How should I deal with shit like some Demon type digimon being able to digivolve from both Arkadimon and Keramon's core line, and then Pagumon's on the other side of the chart, so i'd need lines going between all 3 main branches, which would be a visual mess? Should I only draw lines where the evolutions make a ton of logical sense to avoid that? Or maybe have each branch be arranged radially in a circle? Should I bother to stick canon evolutions at all?
Pic related is what I have done so far just to draft it out. Non-canon evolutions are in blue, and I haven';t shown any evolution links that would have to like cross over/under a ton of any other digimon like duskmon > mephismon and such, the Arkadimon/Keramon line back and forths being the only real one
Was also thinking that maybe I should just have this be a "Dark Area" chart, and then also do charts for other fields (since you can see some bird/wind guardians, cyborg/metal empire, and insect/jungle trooper mons here) based on mons I like from each, but i'm not sure if I like enough mons from other fields to justify them. There's also the problem that there's so much crossover between Dark Area and Nightmare Soldier mons, which leads to this lop-sided towards the pagumon side, though even limiting myself to Dark Area mons, which would solve that somewhat, there's still so many demon digimon that it';d be lopsided, and seperating Dark Area from Nightmare Soldiers would mean that i'm exlcuding a ton of obvious evolution links due to largerly arbitrary categoirzation given how iffy the Dark Area assignments are.
Or Should I go FULL autism and also include other baby 1's I like and just have a giant ass-web with each field originating from a given baby 1? Having to connect shit from one end to the other would be insane though, since it'd be many times bigger then this. On the flip side, I could just do something much simplier like a tree of maybe 2-3 baby 2's, 4-5 childs, 6-7's adults, 5-6 perfects, and 4 ultimates or so, like the old vpets, though i'd rather do that AND some big ones.

I honestly sort of think that Mugen/Machinedramon is already a sort of "canon" evolution for the line: Tyrannomon > Megadramon > Machinedramon and Tyrannomon > Metaltryannomon > Machinedramon already works really well.
I think Rusttyrannoymon as this sort of rusty, broken down rotting metal monstrosity would be cool, but, again, the design looks too high tech for that.

I read a long time ago that Hongo has held a huge grudge with Kakudo over how he handled 02 and fucked with his original canon that he was the one pushing for Tri and other works to correct the 02 epilogue and some how get the story back on track towards the hole Dark Ocean thing. Data Squad was a low point for me that I zoned out for a lot of it but I still kept going. I thought Fusion/Xros Wars was a return to form bringing back the fun aspect. I remember the ending sucking on the visual aspect since I could tell they used photoshop in a lot of parts. Fusion is still enjoyable except for the sequel to it The Young Hunters that Leapt Through Time. That one sucked because it never goes anywhere and has a main character that is a clone of the main character of the 1st Fusion series but shittier.
Tri is an abomination because of many factors. Being a direct sequel to Adventure trying to fix 02 but doing a worse job. The release schedule for it made it a hard watch as well before it concluded. Even when 4-5 episodes drop within a span of 6 months, you barely got 2 episodes worth of story. They were trying to go realistic with the destruction of digimon with the real world like a natural disaster but it ignores the fact that the children went through that in Adventure before and didn't have PTSD about it. The audio was a cheap and the score was lazily placed. They gave digimon stock animal sounds when they didn't have those before. The main characters are shittier than they were as kids or had pointless story arcs. They added a new character which I thought was fine for what she was and her purpose but I thought they were making the same mistakes as 02. A lot fo exposition dialogue moments. The whole 26 episodes was a drag, even ignoring the sparse release schedule and could have been condensed to 13 episodes without losing a whole lot.
Appli Monsters was also enjoyable up until the halfway point. The story arc got lost and they pretty much do filler arcs with some episodes that progress the story but with many gaps of filler before it ends. I still enjoyed appli monsters for what it was but it could have been better. It is still a whole lot better than tri which was also running at the time. I think Fusion and Appli are fun but they do suffer in the story department at different points. Sad because I think they have moments where they could get to the levels of Tamers and Adventure if they kept up the pace Throughout.

Yes, and they did that for Rumble Arena 2 (Agumon, greymon, skip to Wargreymon). However that ran off it's own mechanic, which could be kinda neat.
Basically, hits = energy. This energy can be used to evolve into the next stage. When you're at your final stage, using that energy again unleashes a super move, but regresses you to the first stage.

Pretty much. Because Digimon are super fucking Literal in what they mean; there is no "gender", Digimon identify as "Digimon" since reproduction is not based on the sex of the digimon. Also the very real fact that rogue Digimon and/or tamers exist as a danger, likely creating criminal organizations, or raiders. Could have domed cities, an entire "adventurer's guild" that's networked between everyone's smartphone/digivice, and maybe some self-defense weapons for registered tamers. Thought of a neat little gun that you can put your smartphone/digivice into, and borrow the abilities of your partner Digimon.

That also just proves a few things I mentioned earlier. Lots of artists these days just have a furry character. The furry community as a whole is being filled with relative normalfags that basically have nothing to do with the furry mafia or necrobestiality enthusiasts (both of those groups are real by the way, for anyone who doesn't know). I don't think the furry community has been as degenerate as it was in years. The fact that the usual /monster/ rebuttal point out gay and futa shit as the worst examples really just proves that you don't really understand the true depths of how awful the furry community was, is, and can be. Trust me, I've seen some shit, and shit has stared back at me. I'll also say that I partially blame Deviantart for that sort of thing as well, since it goes beyond just furry shit there. Thankfully I think for the most part the internet has moved past that sort of thing, I haven't seen much of that old style degeneracy much in years, now it's just down to the kind of degeneracy you find in Japanese doujinshi and the like (notably futa shit and NTR). I'd also like to point out that furry conventions are pretty awful from what research I've done, but so are most conventions (although rarely to the same level as furry conventions, especially since sometimes the sociopaths of the furry community try to sabotage them). Never actually been to a convention at all though, doesn't seem like my style.
