Fate GO Thread.
It's 2019 and the New Year banner is here. There are a lot of events coming this year or at least there are a lot of events with servants that I want. We just got a lot of free golden apples and there is 1/2 ap on the xp card daily quests. Too bad there isn't a double the drop rate of mats Super and Great success is doubled and we were given a New Years package of FP and QP, so it looks like it's time for us to strengthen our favorite servants.

I've always used my hundred-abs for ST and fuuma for aoe, although lu bu & aoe berserkers are viable options as well as long as you dont need them for long. If you think he's fun to play with then grail him, most people consider kojiro to be pretty solid once he gets higher stats with a couple of grails but I would never grail purely for practical/gameplay reasons like all of the niggers that push their cuzilla to 100. No one ever has to grail any specific servant to pass through content after all.
If I were you I'd find a dude with one that's already grailed, friend him if you can and test it out first.

So the reason you beat goetia is cause solomon has the 10th ring which he has cause it was a summoning catalyst used by Maris animusphere and the only reason he has it is cause solomon sent the ring into future casue GOD told him to.

Up to one per class summoned at a time yes. It's not necessarily a persistent thing though. For example both Solomon and Merlin qualify as grand caster but neither has been summoned as it. The only grand we have actually seen summoned has been King Hassan and for all we know he might be the only assassin that qualifies for grand to begin with. The copy we saw lost his grand status, the template of King Hassan should qualify and could be resummoned by the world as a grand assassin.

Although I get what you mean these 1/2 AP weeks still are complete ass. I started half a year back and relied on supports or struggled in tougher event challenges. Then xmas comes around which later gets topped off with pillar farming and in 3 weeks I've managed to max out nearly every 1-3* servant with skills ranging between 4/4/4 and 9/9/9, still many mats left over. It was one short burst of a fuckton of farming and a slow embers-only week is a joke in comparison to those previous gains.

I started when the game came to NA, so a year and a half at this point. Just after Chrimas I get to raise a CasGil, a Medusa Lily, a Jaguar Man (Grailed to 90) and finish leveling Elizabeth Brave and Jalter Lily. While QP and mats aren't the biggest issue. Exp definitely is. Under IDEAL circumstances where you have fully unlocked slots in servants and 300 open gift spaces(which I do not meet these conditiobs at all), you can stockpile maybe 900 Exp. It takes over 300 to level a 5* and over 200 per a 4* assumingno special successes. I am fine for QP but Exp kills me. In addition, I like stockpiling Exp so I can fully level the welfare as soon as they come, which is another 200 Exp needed.

In an interview Nasu said some interesting things.
NPs will never be skipable because the game would be just about efficiency and lose its charm.
The gameplay is outdated and even though improvements helped, building on an outdated system has made the game a warped amalgamation like Kowloon city and in order to fix the base gameplay they would need to tear the whole thing down and rebuild it from the ground up.
But they cant do that so all Nasu and the dev team can do is have players say "Even so, Its still fun" if they keep the fun the basic game provides then fun can still be had in FGO
The grinding gameplay loop Nasu says goes against what he wanted to achieve with FGO but its hard to change core gameplay systems. He's talked with Takeuchi and it wont change till current FGO ends.The timing of this will overlap when he feels he has done all he wants with FGO and has some ideas for a sequel
Nasu says the story ends after part 2 and plans to do everything he wants to do by the end. He's scared of players wanting a continuation and would be hard to write a continuation after the end and joked that just like Undertale he could make players do the best ending and then have them do the worst ending and wants players to feel the same sense of loss he felt after finishing FFIV

Gilles Saber, Boudica, Geronimo, Babbage, ROMA, Benkei, Teach, Mephistopheles, Sanson, Mata Hari, Darius, Erik and Caligula are kinda meh.
Fergus is a decent Saber, capable of offense where D'eon can tank. Cu is god-tier survivor meme and the alt-Cu(also Lancer) is decent enough but nothing really special. Lu Bu is a solid berserker, basically a worse version of Heracles. EVERY 3 star Archer is fucking good, Robin's NP can gain insane damage when the opponent is poisoned, and his kit allows him to survive for a pretty long time, which allows him to keep spamming his NP. Deermud is okay, with his buff cancel NP being situationally useful. Medea basically does the same, but better and can instantly 100% her NP. Arash is a meme for a reason; super cheap and can pull off astounding damage. Asterios is solid and fluffy.
Hans, Shakespeare and Mozart are really good support Caster, especially for a new player due to how cheap they are. Hans is jack-of-all-trades support, but dies fairly easily. Mozart is Arts and insta all crit, while Shakespeare needs some set up to support someone who can generate a lot of crit stars with his critgen up, and has better survivability than the other two plus a really good Buster buff.
Hassan of the Cursed Arm is a really good critgen because he just doesn't die. Never bothered with either of the other two Hassans, since I got Shiki. If we're getting a re-run of the KnK event, make it a priority to grab an Assassin Shiki; she's fucking god-tier.

In general, find the servants of each class that you like best and are the most useful to you and level them. That way you don't end up in an event with a team of sabers and get fucked waves of archers. After that, make sure you get some good farming servants and boss killing servants. They don't have to be the best, but a boss killing lancer would preferably be a st lancer. There are exceptions though as some servants can do aoe and still hit like a truck against a single target. Along the way, you'll find servants that you just really like. Feel free to level them as well.
Watch out for mats though. Try not to burn mats on servants just because. Some of them can either be a pain to farm or only available from events.
Arash is a good choice and so is Euryale. She's really going to shine in Camelot along with Orion. Asterios is pretty good at locking bosses down once his debuffs land. Eric, Lu and Sparticus are good berserkers and Georgios will serve you well as a rider and taunter. Leonidas is a good taunting tank when you get him. Hans will go the distance if you can get the mats for him. It also depends on what support servants you have access to. There are a lot of triple 10 merlins around, so buster servants are going to be hitting really hard.

Proto Cu has the special place of being the one version of the many Cus that actually manages to be somewhat historically accurate. And if you know anything about Fate, you know being even the slightest bit historically accurate is an extreme rarity worthy of note. For example: Umu.

He's more similar to Kintoki. Herc's got extreme survivability for a berserker, whereas Lu Bu and Kintoki are both very frail but have extremely high damage NPs with stun chances.

In my experience, his survivability can be a bit of a drawback, since he's only useful for a single turn then doesn't really do anything. Slap a Battle of Camlann CE on him, use Combat Uniform to swap him in, pop his buffs and his charge, sling out a buffed Buster NP from your main damage dealer, then let him die and refill your damage dealer's NP a bit. Mozart can fill a similar niche on an Arts team. They're both great if you can be lucky enough to use their fragility as an advantage to trigger something like Camlann after swapping them in for one turn of huge damage with Combat Uniform. Like Hans, they offer next to no damage because they're so low rarity and therefor have shit stats, but unlike Hans, their buffs last a single turn, and they don't need to stay alive for any of them to keep going (unlike Hans innocent monster), and you probably won't be getting either one's NP off or even really want to, whereas you'd definitely want to get Hans' NP off since it's a great NP and you're actually pretty likely to get it off too. Hans is extremely frail, but you want him to stay alive for a bit so he can generate stars and give everyone buffs. Mozart and Shakespeare are extremely frail, but they're only useful for a single turn, so you can take advantage of their fragility and hope they die. If you an actually keep him alive long enough for his skills to go off cooldown, then I guess his survivability is kind of useful, but then again, you'd be wasting a lot of damage output since in that time you're no doubt going to need to get him to attack at least a few times instead of someone with better damage.

Cu Proto is the closest of the Cus, since he (in story) only uses it in special circumstances, when he unleashes its true name. In gameplay, he uses his ordinary spear even when using Gae Bolg's true name in his NP animation unless he's at third ascension, then at third ascension uses Gae Bolg at all times, so it's got a dumb clash between gameplay and story. In the myths, Cu very, very rarely used Gae Bolg, as far as I'm aware only twice, first when he accidentally killed his son, Connla; and later on, as a last resort in his days-long battle against Ferdiad. Cu Proto is also the youngest of them all, and Cu died in his youth, most likely as a teenager, which was a pretty important part of his mythology. All of the other Cus appear to be adults, and even though Cu Proto seems pretty close to adulthood, his backstory makes it clear he's much younger than the other versions. Gae Bolg needing to be thrown from between the toes only shows up in a few versions of the myth, in some of them it's just thrown normally; in others, it needs to be thrown from water to work, too. It's quite interesting how there are multiple different variations of the same legend, since Irish mythology was largely passed down through oral tradition for quite a while, and ended up prone to embellishments from different storytellers before eventually being written down to codify a more permanent version of the myth, then had a few different versions of the myth actually written down. So you get different myths contradicting each other, or just seeming completely absurd when you try piecing together a timeframe for when they're occurring, especially with someone like Cu who has a fucking tonne of myths but dies very young. Fucker was already engaged, sleeping with at least three other women on the side, and knocked one of those three up, all as a child who was 10 at most, most likely younger. Chad's got nothing on him. Scathach is a pedophile, by the way, and anyone who waifus her is retarded since she's only into /ss/.
Scathach Assassin also fucks up the myths around Gae Bolg in a lot of ways, like having it split apart to hit multiple targets (in the myths, it split apart inside a target, to fill their veins with barbs, similarly to how Cu Alter's Curruid Coinchenn works), having it be made from ash wood (in the myths it was made from the corpse of Coinchenn, which was a separate creature from Curruid, whereas in Fate Curruid and Coinchenn are apparently the same creature), and having multiples of it. Plus, it's unrelated to Gae Bolg, but the whole "Land of Shadows" thing with Scathach is pure Fate original content, Dun Scaith is just a fortress in Scotland that Scathach supposedly owned at some point - it's actually a real place, and its name actually means "Fortress of Shadows".

I wouldn't trust this site for most of its other info but it's generally accepted that ST berserkers will almost always be used against assassins unless you have a sanzang/illya. Outside of his NP lu bu doesn't have much utility compared to medea but he can 1shot most things you're gonna be fighting at this stage in the game. He was my go-to for barbatos bullying.

But I can't slap Black Grail onto Berserkers, especially Lu Bu who already has survival problems, and doing the math Medea with MLB Black Grail hits nearly as hard as Lu Bu on Assassins while also resisting them and also being more useful in general as a support. If it were in a vacuum of course I'd go for Lu Bu but all I want right now is ST Assassin solutions as my only gold ST Berserker (Herc) is Max Bond and I don't want to take him unless I can't do it without him. As someone with an NP3 Sanzang, I still prefer using Medea because in an arts team with Black grail she can do 80k back to back to back NPs. Sanzang hits a bit harder, but the NP loop isn't as good. With Break Bars being a thing soon, it's a very valuable skill to have. Tiddy Monk is technically better for that one hit kill, but if you're not able to pull off that cleanly enough, Medea and the other ST casters later are still going to be better in the long run

Eh, Sadly trying for Tamamo/Waver got me with NP3 Tiddymonk in the first place. The fact is with Helena/Support waver or Helena/Support Merlin isn't as good on the NP Loop as Medea is due to the fact Medea has an Arts NP with an NP Refund. She can get close thanks to her NP Gain Skill but even after the Buffs go down Medea can still keep NP Looping relatively well. Medea is really fucking good at np spamming even with Budget teams.
