A 5 game series spanning across the GBA and DS, the main trilogy, and the most reccomended to play are on the GBA. The only problem is that they, alogn with the 4th game, are japanese only. The english game is considered the weakest in the series by most fans.
The series stars a starfish named Starfy as him and his best friend Moe (the clam) try to stop the villian of the game, shared through the trilogy stated above. Its mostly a platformer with actually good underwater levels, even if its piss easy, it has great atmosphere.

Well, as someone already said, platformers tend to not be real script heavy anyhow, and combined with the fact that it's not a series the west has been real familiar with, nor did the DS one prove all that popular to my knowledge, it wouldn't shock me that they've been low priority. There honestly haven't been all that many completed GBA fan translations anyhow, either.
