I'd say War and Death from Darksiders were pretty GAR, but then 3 happened.
There are a lot of games out there with male protagonists, but not too many where they are particularly manly, not for long anyway.
The Batman Arkham games are pretty consistent in playing an animated stack of muscles, but a lot of the gameplay is sneaking around which isn't particularly manly.
There a number of games out there where the protagonists does cool proactive things, but they don't radiate masculinity.
