Well it's stupid on both parts it's stupid for the fans to create things for companies that don't want them to use their IP. But it's also stupid for all of these large companies that can basically get neat stuff made for free that actually advertises their brand and could only make them more money. Companies like Nintendo should find big fan projects like am2r and give them licenses instead of shutdown notices make them part of the company. I'm sure a lot of these fan projects would be willing to sign any agreement if it meant being able to build their dream projects without legal interference. That way both sides can be happy the fans can make their Little Dream projects and the companies can continue to get rich and profit without having to worry about there IP getting lost to public domain.
