It's pretty awful. RP is a necessary function for the game to be enjoyable. It has to hit a perfect balance though and not be dreadful RP like Baystation. Hippie on the other hand is a server where you'll have no security whatsoever and cult can freely say "hey we're converting come to medbay" and people willingly go there to convert so they can murder others who haven't converted yet. Thus you have rounds that can end very quickly because it's a one sided fight with nobody to oppose the cultists/revs.

I think the sign of a server that gets the balance right, is determined by the lawyer /Detective role, since it encapsulates the struggle between RP and Just playing the game. Very rarely on a lot of servers is the court ever used, even in cases where the defendant could actually make a case for themselves. If lawyers aren't used correctly, detectives are really just shittier sec officers. And lawyers just end up being grey tide with worse access.
Unfortunately, the reality of the game makes most crimes open and shut cases, since most people, if caught, are caught in the act, and don't have much room for debating. Very VERY rarely is someone found out after the fact, or an innocent person sent to jail.

Forced conversion rounds suck. It feels like every round of TG I play is either revs or cult.. I don't mind there being either cult or revs, but not both, at least not how they currently work. Cult can keep forced conversions but revolutionaries should be exclusive to recruiting willing greytiders and civilians. Think of it as having to come up with a legit cause to get common people to rally behind, like lynching a ligger HoS, not just flashing random people for allies.
Constantly turning rounds into team deathmatch is what creates situations where nobody even pretends to RP. I remember a guy who rigged an elaborate situation where he kidnapped the captain and had a dead mans switch to set off a bomb and was negotiating a ransom with the HoP over the radio, and some catgirl just walked in, said nothing, and disarmed him, killing all present. The current spirit of SS13 is either pure PVP, which isn't the strength of the game, or HRP boring snoozefests where nothing happens because antags are too scared to get banned for violating rule 619.b on proper murder protocol.

I honestly don't like the forced conversions at all. All that it does, is make people do something they 80% of the time don't really want to do, which breeds with it, people getting converted and then doing nothing. It also means that several antagonists (Revs/Cult/Xenos/spiders/slings) all have the same gameplay, just with slightly different flavors that I dont think really justifies their existence.
With cult, it should be about a small group of players slowly accruing powers by doing small objectives, and making pacts with demons to build themselves up and then finally spurning forth and putting their plans into motion, summoning nar'sie. Not just kidnapping a bunch of people, brainwashing them and then essentially just greytiding after that. Maybe allow people to join the cult willingly, but at some sort of cost. Maybe weakening the other members the more there are. Do you want a large cult, but with individual members being weak by themselves, but can be fearsome in number? Or do you want a cult that is few in number and thusly each cultist killed is quite a blow, but each member is powerful in their own right. These sorts of choices I think would lead to a much more interesting cult playstyle.
Revolutionaries should just be deleted from the game. As far as I can tell they're a far more boring version of cultists with a slightly different objective. Considering though that the cult usually murder bones the heads anyway. If you wanted to keep them in, you would have to do the same as cult, give them smaller objectives to complete at round start, and then slowly have them accrue power and the tools they need to take the station.
Xenos/Spiders are mostly fine with how they play, though I wish they weren't the exact same antagonist essentially. That, and limit the number of players who can respawn as an spider/xeno. It gets annoying that once the spiders/xenos take like, 20%of the crew down, the round is essentially over, since they both snowball incredibly hard, to the point of making it impossible for the crew to make a comeback.
And never fucking ever implement shadowlings.

The one thing really needed in that mode is something to help the EMT's do their job. There's no defibrillator in that codebase, so once you're dead you're forever dead, and bleeding out isn't a slow process (thus nobody bothers playing EMT).
Cyberchristians can get resurrected one at a time but that also is a slow process. Death is a lot more meaningful than one other codes like pizza. You can trip and fall off the wrong catwalk and die from a broken leg, if medical can't find you (which they never do because of cockroaches).
All in all, it's still more engaging than pizza and I actually do my job instead of filling myself with 500u black powder and making ClF3 bomb every round out of boredom; that or filling the station with pipes.

So basically when you eat black powder, it takes forever to metabolize out and if you put pure ClF3 (50 or 100 u) into a grenade casing and set it off, it simply sets a large are on fire. This fire lights you on fire, causing your temperature to go above 450 and thus setting off a suicidal maxcap that blows up an entire department. That's how the 2skeleton round happened; we set off three bombs and destroyed the entire station….
Pic related isn't exactly the explosion but certainly the same scale. The server lagged for a good 5 minutes before it calculated. We had turned three monkeys into humans and filled them with black powder. If I recall correctly we even made a little auschwitz gas chamber out of the surgery viewing room. We were able to dope up about a hundred u of black powder on all three bodies at the same time per black powder smoke grenade. Then we put a remote activated ClF3 grenade in a hand of each, and hid them! Eventually we set it off, everyone but us two skeletons (and a borg) died. The librarian, amazingly, survived for a while. His WGW reading ass was stabbed in multiple places by wooden shrapnel from his beloved bookshelves, and then he suffocated to death, I think, unless it was the bleeding. And yes all librarians are guilty of reading WGW

>lifeweeb lore
There's no lore, it's just retarded shit.
The simple lore is the following: There's a forcefield covering the planet that prevents sun light from warming it, therefore it's a frozen wasteland up top and therefore everyone lives underground.
Everyone worships a religion where Christ is dead and you have to save him with fervent prayer.
Everyone but the Cultists, of course, who whorship Tzenoborg (or whatever it's written like), who wants to end all life to create an utopia afterwards.
There's a city with super technology (used solely for the convenience of introducing some characters) and remnants of a company that did evil experiments and space exploration, but nowadays everyone outside of said city lives in fortresses that are more feudal and medieval.
However…
The Cult? Strictly out of Blood, the pc game. From the deity they worship to the words they shout and some of the shit they do.
Over half of the world building? It's Arx Fatalis. Planet with a frozen atmosphere because something is covering the sky, humans living in a fortress underground, etc. Even the alchemy itself is practically the same.
The official religion is just badly copied Warhammer 40K with the emperor replaced with christ and you still have the super duper city that the players can't ever see but has a lot of tech and sends important dudes who totally aren't space marines to check on it.
The crazy slavers that you see popping up? Just the author taking a jab at muslims.
Lifeweb has no lore. Everything of note was taken strictly from some other game or something else and adapted to it and the rest are russian memes.
The few times the author has had an oportunity to do something original like coding The Old Ways (a Patreon goal), he didn't do jack shit.
If there's a codebase I wish was leaked or someone managed to steal it, Lifeweb would be it. Massive potential for roleplaying wasted on meme players that like to pretend they like roleplaying and held back by a codebase that won't change because "obtuse design is good design, just ask questions on Discord!"

Just to clarify it: Koriath added pools that could hold any liquid to replace the static pool icons that we had before and really did nothing at all. Vaping was a /tg/ thing (or some other server, I dunno really)
The issue you speak about actually wasn't due to the pools and was present in the game for a very long time already, it's just that nobody noticed or cared about until someone decided to make a Black Powder Pool and the results were far more explosive than expected.
The funny guy then went on to colaborate with the coders in a short investigation about what just happened and here's what they discovered:
Smoke clouds that have chemicals in them inject new chemicals into everyone inside of them every tick without actually spending any and for as long as the smoke lasts.
The test was a simple sugar grenade (sugar makes you unconscious if it goes above a certain value) and in less than 3 seconds of exposition in an enclosed space (so he was covered by every cloud generated by the grenade) he reached 1000u of Sugar in his blood. This would easily keep someone uncoscious for a whole round.
The entiraction with the pools was that they were coded to receive chemicals much like everyone else, just dump a beaker in them to fill. This meant that they could get chemicals from smoke clouds as well, but due to the mentioned unkown bug with the smoke, they'd easily fill up to the cap of whatever chemical was present in the smoke in a few seconds.
I'm not entirely sure, but I think that was patched either by making pools immune to smoke or by making smoke clouds consume their chemicals when trasfering and thus even ending sooner, with no extra chemicals created.
TL;DR Chemistry is a shitty department with a lot of broken shit that nobody ever bothers to fix because everyone likes to cook up overpowered crap in a few seconds and half the game is chemistry anyway.

I'll be honest, I don't like Chemistry one bit. And it's not simply because it's overpowered but because it doesn't mesh well with the rest of the game at all.
Genetics has to perform "research", which is fiddling with RNG in 3 separate layers. First to figure what each gene is, Second to cook an injector with all the powers and Thirdly, re-rolling injectors until all the powers you want are activated. And despite this, /tg/ also made them temporary, last time I checked.
Meanwhile, Chemistry has no RNG.
R&D has a long setup until they can make bombs that have a cap on them anyway and look so suspicious that only traitor scientists or griefers ever make them.
Meanwhile, there are many mixtures in chemistry available from the start with no cap that you can even put in a pocket as a grenade and nobody even suspects you're making them.
Botany (and the Kitchen) require several materials to perform their job and their job cycle encourages actually producing them. You'll have to play with the seed RNG and learn how to manipulate it, making plants to produce more advanced stuff later on and Kitchen needs you to produce things for them.
Chemistry meanwhile has about 80% of what it needs from round start, with ample regenerative supply and the rest is someone else's job to procure.
It's a department that works by rules that no other department works by, that gets flashier stuff with no RNG in a very short amount of time and work.
It's the shitter department for easy gratification, but it makes you feel like you're skilled when you're just following cooking recipes. The more advanced stuff relies on meta fuckery, like knowing that 1u+1u of different poisons is far more letal than 2u of poison since it deals damage twice per tick.
Worst of all, there's a lot that can't be changed since so many departments depend on it. Medbay is basically "apply chemistry to heal!", cooking and Hydro also, especially for unstable mutagen, grenades for Security are made in Chemistry for whatever reason, etc.
The "best" attempts at it were just "what if we add some busywork with temperature and catalysts? That will do it!" but they never do since it's always still easier and more available than fucking around with RNG.
If anything, the biggest issue is the ChemMaster simply creating chemicals from electrical energy. It would be far better to just put in Chemical Jar from System Shock 2 that can carry 200u of a single chemical and have several at round start in a chemical closet for Chemistry.
Based on the chemicals that are available, you can easily change what can be done right at round start, especially if recipes are tweaked to account for this. Actually dangerous or advanced stuff would require adquiring better chemicals, either from scavenging around the station, mining or ordering from QM.
For instance, making Clonexadone at roundstart is stupid, it should start with just normal healing chems, then move to Cryoxadone with some advanced chems you can order or scavenge and then Clonexadone with stuff you'd have to mine or pay a lot to get.
You could even put a Sulfuric Acid Jar in R&D and Robotics so they don't have to beg for it to print circuits or rush a ChemMaster themselves.

This but with entire tanks of various stable chemicals (requiring an actual room that can be griefed or stolen from as opposed to a single tile), and reactions can be performed to isolate certain elements or compounds and most reactions will result in 2 substances being in the same beaker. Then you take it to a centrifuge to separate out the heaviest substance, one at a time. Once the vats are empty, that's it. Chemistry can get more vats from cargo and botany should be able to provide a wide variety of chemicals as well. Thus there should also be enough chemical compounds and reactions to create all the current functional chemicals in the game. Therefore, chemistry still shouldn't have RNG, but it should be actual chemistry because autism and balance. Basically chemistry's setup each round would be trying to isolate pure elements/easy reagents for the things they know they're going to want to make, so that when requests come in they can cook it up fast.

I stopped playing SS13 because I made the mistake of making Paradise Station my mainstay for population reasons.
I got banned because some guy broke the law and it demanded 20 minutes but he screamed and used his connection with an admin to get me banned since he claimed it was stacking, even though those laws as confirmed by the head admin were not implemented yet. The head admin, while he said I was in the right and would look into the matter personally didn't reach out to me until I spoke with him 4 weeks later and said
>yeah sorry, personal issues, I don't know if I'll be able to look into it
Dropped SS13 right there because I realized that ultimately my fate is not to the winds but to wether or not the admin staff will damage control for Stalin and or might be furries.

Get fucking ready, because I'm going to put a shitton of words in the screen and I'm not in the best state to do this shit but here I go.
There's around three factors that go into this shit.
For one, is the usual run of the mill "Admins are trash and hypocritical", which I sometimes agree with, depending on the server I'm in.
Second, there's this whole complicated ERP thing, ERPers are selective to who they'd ERP, but at the same time, they want to ERP as many people as possible, it's contradictory, but it does happen. tl;dr ERP cliques exist but it's not hard to enter one As someone who regularly plays in BD
And third, what ties these two points together is, Admins will abuse their power to bypass their own rules if they can get away with it, however they can use the "It was for memes" card whenever they can.
The first pic is not from TG as the image implies, it's from 2015 Pizzastation
The only proof of it is that one of the admins admitted to doing it on /ss13/, but thanks to the no-fun owner of >>>/ss13/ being a retard, it's gone.

People vote for whoever they are told to vote for, doesn't matter if it's on a local or federal level it's the same problem. Politicians know how easy it is to manipulate the voters, so they serve the ones who do the manipulating, rather than the people who do the voting. The end result is a system that selects for the most corrupt candidates possible because that is exactly what you have to be in order to get elected.

Someone post the screencaps of S'Arais goon account. That's how we know.
Being the admin of Nox isn't some grand achievement. All you gotta do is pander to the majority for easy popularity and do absolutely no moderation. Everyone remembers an admin when they stop what you're doing. Nobody remembers admins that don't do anything.
>furry catniggers whining about their immulshun as skeletons beat them to death
You are seriously going to use this as a good example of moderation? It's precisely what I said, appealing to the majority of players (anti-furries skeleton memers) while not stopping them from griefing as much as they want.
Wanna know why it's incredibly stupid? Because it means that there's content in the game (the cat race) that you're not supposed to use under normal circunstances unless you want to bait someone or chalenge yourself like reading WGW.
It effectively removes choices from the players when you tell them "You die if you pick this", which is already bad on it's own but it gets worse.
After a while, the catniggers will either leave the server (and thus you lose players) or they pick something else. Now you have no catniggers, but a legion of autists looking for targets, and when they have none, they make some.
This kind of moderation breeds a playerbase that does nothing but act like insufferable cunts to everyone else for their own amusement and the only way the admins can endure it is because they aren't even expected to do anything to begin with.
And it's not like it works anyway, last I checked, Nox was terminated.
TL;DR: Making SS13 into Spess Battle Royale is the kind of shit that appeals to underage shitters only, not an actually good way to run a server. If they had a map for Fortnite aboard a space station, you'd be all over that shit.

This, the same can be said for any game really when admins are more worried about being seen as the cool kid than anything. The original spirit was basically a game about life on a space station where anything could happen. Like any game, someone made a entertaining video, put it on YT and shitters come in trying to recreate it. Had the same shit happen in Barotrauma, faggots kept trying to inject husks eggs into people because Criken had it in his videos. Depends on the hour really.
It's popular and some good shenanigans do happen, but:
>there are a couple of persistent assistants who do the same things every round with the same name.
>Said assistants will ahelp any time they're killed by sec for circumstances including, but not limited to:
<Dying to crossfire because they were "exploring" maint during a cult round.
<Getting put in perma after they used they're plasma tank to break out of they're cell after being arrested for setting off the fire alarms in front of sec repeatedly.
<Anything security does really.
>Revolution rounds are usually poor-form murder bone territory. Get ready to be killed and thrown into a locker if your not a rev.
>Detectives are always stooges acting like security officers instead of loose canons.
>Wardens rarely can pull of their three part duty of brigg overlord/armory protector/dispatcher
>Most people aren't very good at their roles and don't communicate at all.
All that being said, they're are some spectacular players that make it worth while causing such experiences as:
>Escaping perma after being dishonorably discharged from security and being on the lamb.
>Being an EMT
>Cargo tech who puts a pAI in a MULE and goes on maint adventures for bounties
>Actually being a pAI(few players actually submit personalities for some reason)
>Call the Chaplin out for an honor duel so he can act as a sacrifice to summon your God in a sweet battleground you prepared.
>Create shit-tons of copper boots so anyone who walks down the hall is greeted with massive amounts of CLANG.
<Blogging cats who actually use the newscasting system
>Engineers who decide "Fuck it" and re work disposals to just go directly to space and make an infinite disposals loop in evac
>Establishing a weird relationship with that mime you jailed at the beginning of the round as the warden, who you open up too after going stir-crazy in extended and eventually endeavor out to find the CMO who allegedly drugged another convict who is also out for blood. The whole thing ends in the evac brigg during a pow-wow you put together that is ended when the HOS comes in and asks you too shoot him when he has the reflector vest on. You oblige because your stoned out of your mind and the CMO escape. You vow to track him down and make him pay on the evac shuttle.

Mods have killed the game.
I'm buddies with a bunch of the old guard mods from various servers, and they cause so much drama for the sake of pissing off the furry mods it's insane.
Pretty much every drama in the last few years has been caused by a close group of like 8-10 people, including CM/Apop, Goon leaks, Para log dumps etc.
Also goofball from /tg/, he codes like a madman so they don't kick him, but the admins hate how much he openly flaunts his discontent with the way they run the server.
If they got rid of the furries and hugboxes the game would be perfect, instead the few competent developers (who are faggots themselves, but at least they could code) decided to jump ship and make their own copies of the game that will never work.
Looking out for CEV Eris and Star Trek 13, though.
CEV is meant to be moderation more like LifeFag, but a bunch of the English mods are furries and pedos, while the Russians just ignore them.
Star Trek 13 got a major overhaul a few weeks ago that dropped shit to ship and instead gave it a DS9 style station with the optional ship to ship stuff, so that's interesting and gets frequent and large updates, but still waiting for it to be ironed out before I invest too much into it.

One fag will decide he can only have fun if he makes the other 4 miserable, get banned and shitpost about it afterwards.
Then the remaining will get bored and leave for other stations\videogames.
Most people asking for a server tend to have been banned from literally everywhere else but they won't ever change whatever behavior got them banned, relying on the "mods" scapegoat every single time. >you NEED basic rules on the ground to attract bodies
I've been thinking about this for quite a while.
Here's the points I thought about:
>We need admins
>Admins need to be anonymous
>we need a set of rules
BUT
<Admins are faggots
<being anonymous = not accountable
<noone agrees on the ruleset
So, my first solution for the first problem was "let's just automate a bot, a sort of Robot9000 that oversees rounds and bans/punishes players for breaking rules.
This however has two major problems:
For a start, a bot moderator sucks major dick at actually moderating. Colonial Marines is good evidence.
Secondly, it doesn't solve the ruleset dillema.
Thus, I've come up with a different idea. And looking at the code, it wouldn't be that hard to cook up, since it's just another sub-system you hook on the roundstart code and let run till round end.
Imagine we had Bot Moderators, but each one followed a diferent sort of rules. They get picked in the same way round types are picked: randomly. Then, they announce the ruleset at round start.
Each diferent ruleset would have the bot monitor players for very specific rules, and enforce them. Not with bans/kicks, but with harsh punishements. Turning people into CLWN's. Making them hallucinate.
Causing their head to explode. Becoming a farm animal. Being automatically demoted.
A couple examples:
>The Grounds Keeper
<breaking tiles/walls (unless your an engineer) is an offense
<littering (dropping/throwing items that don't land on top of desks) is an offense
<even bleeding on the floor is an offense
<punishement is being downgraded to Janitor. Or having a janitor cart chained to you.
>The Executive
<cargo has to export X units every couple minutes
<otherwise eveyone on board gets an electro shock
>Dr. Eisenstein
<any vandalism on the science department is a serious offense
<scientists must deliver backups of disks containing research bit a special terminal every couple minutes (until they finish research)
<punishment ranges from loosing gravity (whole crew), loosing power in your department (diverting more power to science) or being teleported randomly (often, to space)
>General Peacekeeper
<If anyone dies, every crewmember within 5 tiles is considered guilty
<the murderer is guilty for murdering, the rest are guilty for not stopping him
<ED's are steadly "sumonned" to the station, arrest people marked by the bot
<prisioner torture is rewarded with donuts if performed in Sec department
LAstly, each Ruleset Bot could change the round in other ways. Like forcing the AI to start with Tyrant lawset, removing supplies from a department, anything, you name it.
Best of all, if someone codes it to be modular, we could have anons coming up with more rulesets to add and either remove or tweak the one's we don't like.
Notice for instance that, when the game rolled the first two rulesets, you'd know two things: you're now in danger, since nothing protects you from murdering lunatics, and you'd only be considered usefull if you could appease the bot.
I'd then throw in a Respawn timer (varies from bot to bot) and leave the server running, open to the public with no admins besides someone to provide tech support and keep it going without meddlng in the rounds.
I basically stole the idea from Rimworld's narrrators, and with the proper combination of Bot + Round type, we could have some interesting stories.
I would like them to talk and announce things over common radio too.

Btw, before someone points out that those examples are dumb: they're dumb yeah. Just a simple demonstration.
The in-Lore idea is that instead of Space Gods (admins) we get an Higher Up back at Centcomm overseeing the station. They could have names and everything, and periodically comunicate with the crew, either by common radio or just teleporting in supplies/items.
Since *pray would also stop being a thing, I'd introduce a system very similar to this for Space Gods: at round start 1 (or maybe 2-3) God(s) are chosen to be active that round. The chaplain might either choose one or contact him and discern which is it. When you *pray, you activater a random power from that God which might be dangerous if you don't know which god is active. Also consumes favor that you get by performing rituals for each god: A Jewish god would require sacrificing shekels, a miner good would want minerals, and a peace god would simply want candles burning. Making offerings and paying attention to the reaction would be the primary way to determine which Gods are active. Kinda of a cult but for the crew, I suppose.

That would kill a server just as fast. Basically it would cause issues if shit happened in a legitimate accidental situation. People want shitters punished and people either playing or dicking around to be let live (lest they're trying to break rules)
I say take /tg/'s ruleset and modify it, again I'd say look for anons that could actually deal with shit

Hence, the respawn timer, I'd wager.
I can see that shit turning into deathmatch quite quickly: someone kills a shitter, shitter waits the 10-15 minute, gets back in, tries to fuck the other guys shit up. It will end up escalating until something explodes, power goes to shit and the AI has borked laws whjile monekys are running around.
So, pretty much your regular SS13 round, with an higher body count.
As a mainly Chef player, I fully support littering the station with corpses.
On a more serious tone, I'd agree with the "ruleset" thing, but with a couple tweaks: "crimes" and other punishable thing should only be registered if you're within sight of a camera. Makes sense IC, and gives those things another use besides AI voyerism.
Along with that, instead of "do crime, head blows up", use the wanted system that is barely used nowadays. Shit could be like the star levels in GTA: do a crime in front of a camera, you get a Wanted tag that savvy players can clear. Do even more serious shit, you get a "Terminate" tag. Not sure if automating security with ED's is a great idea, but could work if they dragged people to prison or some sort of thing. Maybe teleport or whatnot.
Besides that, those rulesets look imperfect, and that might actually be a good thing. Just like Asimov Laws are imperfect for the sake of storytelling, having imperfect rulesets can lead to some interesting shittery (as oposed to the same old tired shittery). Like trying to murder people without being near them so the AI doesn't flag you as a murderer, or trying to optimize profits because you don't want to be shocked. Could work, I guess. I honestly don't see a human Admin working for 8ch.
Plus, would be something unique to set us apart from the other public stations. Just name it R9K station, half of our players frequent that board anyway.

>Two ayy Queens, 6 nests and we ended up with 16 ayys on the station
>captain hide like a little bitch in an escape pod till the end
>one of my hunters drags a fuel tank, spits acid on it and blows the faggot to smithreens
The admins were kinda passive and sort of inept at this, but I was reminded that no matter how bad an admin might be, they'll never be as bad as the fucking valid hunters. Not only is it rare for admins to fuck with rounds, theyalso don't get this fucking salty (usually anyway). Weird server too: ahelp reponses didn't have the name of the admin, just a big bold "Admin" I could click to respond. Maybe that was his actual name, or they had some kind of anonymizer too.

No, it happens.
I remember someone especially bad was Derflammenwerfer or something similar, who basically made himself invulnerable and went "I am a military cyborg =)", full on snowflake mode.
Once I was an AI and was obviously annoyed at him because he was acting as if he was acting Captain, found out he was on godmode because the tasers in my AI chamber didn't stun him even though they hit, same for the lasers.
Then there was the server owner who was pretty chill at first but then was doing meta grudges and if a traitor was someone he didn't like he would just disregard the round and start aliens, ninjas or something, often with the sole purpose to fuck with the traitor and run their greentext.
8ch servers are good at first but they always fall apart eventually because the wrong people get in power.
>>16099553
/tg/ is pretty liberating in that somewhat.
The admins there tend to be either polite or borderline incompetent, plus peer pressure plays out a lot.
Once I got an admin to apologize DEEPLY about how he was being a cunt because the whole OOC chat complained about them, even though I was personally crossed only because I lost, aka I was salty at the moment but the admin did nothing wrong by itself.
If we swarmed their servers and wanted to stay we could probably shape things as we desire, especially since they have forums where you can push for ideas and whatnot: the more we are the more of a push we could get.
But yeah, they have a circlejerk going so don't expect that just because we have numbers they will take a knee: would need for people to actually stick to the community and get into it before you would be able to change jack.

To be honest: admins can't be normalfags and they can't just be arbiters. They need to know the game and know how to spice up rounds if they get stale/boring.
Once, when I was admin:
>traitor buys guns, opens fire 30 seconds in, dies
>well shit, that's another 60 minutes of boring
>wait 15 minutes, watching the players
>noone is doing anything interesting, just their job
>miner accidently dies to goliath
>pm him "Hey, need help for a fun event, you can't kill anyone, you game?"
>he accepts, gets put into a Wizard body
>give him a pair of innofensive spells
>tell him he's the passive-agressive wizard
>the more bitchy and passive agressive he is to the crew, the more powers he'll gain
>He teleports in, starts harassing the crew
>no fireballs, Ei Nath or Animation, just all the other spells that generally annoy with no permanent damage
>he pisses of the captain because he doesn't let people enter his cabin
>creates a bunch of doors into it
>captain orders engineers to fix it
>Wizard harassing engineers, telling them they can't build for shit, and they should be firing
>for everyone player that attempted to murder him, I give him another spell
>eventually give him the farm yard spell with a command: "if you cast this one someone, they'll become a wizard animal and gain a minor spell too
>The mad men sets about recruiting people as Familiars, straight out of D&D
>some people join willingly, others don't
>give one minor spell to each
>1 Wizard and 4 cow/pig/chicken masked mascots annoying the rest of the crew and being passive agressive
Can't remember how it ended up, but it was a minor way to spice up a round. Admins need to know how to do shit like this, but have restraint and don't do it every round.
Then again, I was a shit admin that just wanted to experiment with the game. Like that time I found out about world events, and spent 10 minutes trying to figure out how to summon those with the admin interface. Had to run a command and tinker with some datums, but I managed to summon the "tiles convert to cult tiles" without an actual cult, and people were confused as fuck. Round went about normally with some lag, but as interesting as the world event mechanism was to me, I regret doing that because it upset a bunch of people.

Bit of advice: it won't work because those forums mean jackshit.
The real meat of the moderation/gamedev happens in #coderbus.
There's tranny bullshit, drama and a bunch of power plays by "headcoders" and shit coders that are established, known and generally dictate how shit works. Their admins talk with the coders too, but ultimately, it's the coders that wield power.
If you want to have any say, you'd need to join their channel, learn to code and start hammering features in. After a couple months, someone might give a shit about something you say.
It's a regular joke on #coderbus to code/change things just to piss off forum fags. Seriously, the forums do fucking nothing.

Man every time I hear this it gets more laughable. /tg/ coders are the biggest bunch of autistic, retarded narcissists outside of the goonswarm, because most of them actually are goons who think they're fooling anyone with their structured attack on the culture of any server that "stole their game." (AKA all of them)
Scared of Shadows era and previous were the only good /tg/-stations, because nerds who only care about the game to put on their undergrad resume, "manipulate everything from the shadows" and masturbate about their leet byond skillz were kept on a very short leash. You'd have better luck changing the way a river flows by arguing with it than convincing them to actually run the game for the sake of the game.

They are actually the only ones who can effect change in the /tg/station codebase, though. Trying to get them to do anything aside from add hats and stupid gimmicky shit is nigh-impossible because they don't actually want to do anything while they enjoy the benefits of being in relatively high regard.
You'll notice that they only start acting right when someone gets forced out of the group by popular demand and server-owner consent. Take a look at the number of important commits that happened after Uhangi got the axe.

Most codebases are open source. There's no secrets for anyone that can read, and anyone that can't doesn't deserve or would understand them anyway.
The few codebases that are closed source are shit that use their "secrets" to extend their longevity and prop a "VIP feeling" for it's veterans so they fall for the sunken cost fallacy and don't change codebase. The less you play in those, the better since they might end up public eventually.

I remenber that. It was pretty funny to see their retarded codebase, especially the Chemistry part. Chemistry always was the poster child for goons since it's the easiest to add content for and through it, add content for everything else, which is why it always was the most OP shit and well guarded secret in their servers.
I remenber there was a recipe for some highly explosive bullshit (or maybe it generated a mini-blackhole, can't remenber) that actually checked your CKey, and if you were a specific player, it'd blow you up instead, probably because that faggot kept spamming that shit.
Also funny that there were chemicals like "hugs" and "kisses", which I'd assume it's something you get from emoting with someone else and thus the reaction was supposed to trigger when you inject the components and then emote with someone. It's a funny idea, but pretty stupid too.
Also, the large amounts of explosives for whatever reason. Considering there aren't even that many variables for explosions (range, damage, destruction range and fire range) you could cover most types of bombs fairly easily.

Then again, they code an S7-1500 the same way they'd code a S7-200 because these fucks are stuck in 1996.

It's just that what I had envisioned was something part of our userbase enjoyed, and part of it didn't. I was arrogant and did not recognize that. But even then, I greatly enjoyed the shitposting about it, and I get embarassed looking back and remembering how mad/angry I got over 2D spessmen.
I still believe my brother was in the right over the Stamina changes, but we never got to test it out. The stun changes were great, seeing traitors and officers exchanging lethal shots in actual firefights was great, instead of everyone rushing for the "I stun I win" card. I even got to legit arrest someone by telling him to drop his weapon and get on the floor before I opened fire, like an actual officer should do.
Protip for anyone wanting to be an admin: 90% of the time, the players aren't being dicks for the sake of being dicks. It's just that from their perspective, with the limited information every player has due to the nature of the game itself, they perceive the other guy to be a dick. And they respond in kind.
10% of them are major fucking dickwads though, holy shit. Someone once stole ALL OF SCIENCE, locked himself in Atmos, maxed research before making a Durand, then ahelp'd because he was bored and nothing was happening. While the clown was throwing a very deadly party in the bar and the traitor was silently removing all lightbulbs on the station and convicing people there were ghosts on board. You can't help or play with autism on that level: they self-isolate and the moment they decide to have "fun", that means ruining it for everyone else.
And fuck you DanielHen, I won't complain about your shitty playstyle, we had shitters every day, but you were a major selfish prick that caused over 20 people to hate your ass and then lamely complained noone likes you. Too many of the servers are filled with faggots who are in charge that defend their friends for breaking the rules or just getting mildly inconvenienced by security. I quit the game when I got banned as a janitor for chasing a clown and hitting him once for causing a lot of stuff to clean. I tired to roleplay it more as a joke and a way to get him to go away, but that was not good enough.

> it made it alot harder to be a shitter
One of the main reason I thought about it :^)
Joking aside, It's not just because of shittery. I mean, I played this thing for nearly a decade, I know shittery is NEVER going away. But stuns were simply too usefull and powerfull and made shittery too stale. I wanted a cult (or rev) that actually converted people, officers that told traitors to get on the ground (we could have made the "rest" verb more visible though, my bad) and make shitters explore the rest of the game.
I'd say at least the last one came to fruition: when we had the station open to the public, you could tell the outsider shitters from the in-house shitters. The outsiders went for stunbatons/stungloves, got confident they could fuck up shit before finding themselves in a world of hurt. The 8ch shitters promptly abandoned stuns and experimented with chemistry (Methman comes to mind, as do the Forced Skeleton meme), air distro pipes, bluespace tomatos and some cargo shenanigans I forgot.
I remember the changeling parasting being hit by the same nerf (unnintentionally, but that's the nature of the code) and changelings had to crit people to subdue them but couldn't use excessive force or they'd die.
I think it upped the challenge of the game, but like I said previously, half of our playerbase really enjoyed being shitters, and I took away something they had fun with because I wanted something new, not necessarily better. Sorry about that.

There's only so much a coder can test on it's own. I could spawn NPC's and critters and keep watch on vars to make sure everything triggers at the rate I set it to trigger. What I can't test is how balanced that rate was.
Hence the "hey guys, I did this thing, try it out and post feedback so we can adjust it".
As far as I know, that's exactly what happened, and Nurglestation was a one-night thing, not a month-long fuck up that prevented the game from even starting.
I took it as a compliment since even something I unintentionally fucked up lead to some fun. The kind of fun you don't find in "balanced" stations.

I'm going to school to learn how to do 'programming' with PLC's and a lot of Industrial Automation stuff, is that what you're involved in, or do you something more typically thought of as programming? In my class, i'm really surprised how easy the system of creating a program for these computers is. Maybe it's because it's the entry level stuff, but going through to set up these machines to do stuff like 'run this belt at this speed, if these conditions are met' has been a cake walk. We're only 4 weeks in. Right now, this is the kind of stuff we're working on. It's a very game-like simulator, but the software seems to be what we're doing. I think the problem in the book is expanded on [so that we have to use the ABC setting switch, to fill the box to different levels [Half full and such]] but for just really simple things like 'move box, take box, till full' it's simple and it makes me kind of eager to get to more difficult tasks.
Is this the kind of thing you do, or do you do a lot more structured text, pythony coding? I'm just wondering because I really want to find a comfortable place in the industry of industrial computing and automation. My goal for the end of next year is be a SCADA engineer, and help with system integration and stuff like that.

At the time, I offered to teach people how to code on the thread. Some took up on it. Was pretty fun seeing half a dozen people coding their own little projects. Very small stuff that they were proud to see in-game. I kinda wish we had more of that.
It would NEVER hold up to the perfect standards of /tg/ code, so you could expect severe fucking bugs every week and then shitters exploiting said bugs. But in my (unpopular) opinion, that would be a ton of fun.
>>16124944
Nah, 90% of what I do is exactly what you see on that picture. Or rather, on these pictures. If you're American, you'll probably end up working with Rockwell. They're okayish, kinda outdated software, but very solid. My company mainly works with Omron, the japonese. They have a very nice looking software with a bunch of tools (pic related, see that data_trace?) We sometimes work with Siemens (german). They're… okaish hardware-wise, and their HMI's are very good, but the software itself is beyond shit.Bloated as fuck, takes over 3-4 gb of your Ram with simple projects and simple tasks are much harder to accomplish because you have a lot more time to set up shit.
If you're doing PLC's, you have the option of running Ladder (the lines, contacts and coils visual shit you see) and running SL (structured language) that, depending on the manufacturer, is usually some variation of Visual Basic or close enough. There's more languages, but as far as I know, these are the most commonly used. You can also use both at the same time (pic related). Most of the time though, you'll want to use those pre-made blocks that do a ton of shit in the background, like moving Servo Motors with minimal input.
Or making up your own blocks. I have one specifically made to control hydraulic cylinders. I feed it several inputs (is there air pressure, what state is the cylinder in, what orders I want) and the block manages the movement, wether it's able to move in the first place and throws errors when it doesn't.
You'll come to rely on ladder a lot more because, unlike regular coding, you're expected to connect to the PLC, and watch the code, not just the physical machine. You can see what's happening inside, or why something isn't happening. Use SL for small "fire-and-forget" routines that cause small effects on the machine or perform calculations (since ladder is shit for those).
Couple of tips (that you should have heard from your teacher, if he's any good):
>Never use two coils for the same output, unless you have a darn good reason and know what you're doing.
>Never assume the code will do what you want. Putting more conditions and checks will cost you 1ms of cycle time, but not putting them might cost you hours of work.
>Expand your own library. Start making your own data structures, your own function blocks. Save them aside. Re-use them from project to project and save time.
>When in doubt, slap several "OFF" or "False" contacts on your code, then debug it step by step
And the main advice that I wish my college taught me (or showed):
>Mechanical processes are measured in seconds. Electrical processes are measured in milliseconds.
These might look the same, but always remember that anything mechanical takes time. A fucking lot of time that electrical or code-wise processes don't. Example: a cylinder meant to press against an object after said object enters an area and triggers a detector. Don't just activate the cylinder when the detector goes off. Slap a timer on it, and only use the cylinder when said timer completes (meaning the object has been in the detector range for at least X seconds). It's seems pretty fucking stupid an obvious, but you'll find out how many times and how many situations you need to take this into account and start wondering "Why didn't my teachers DRILLED this into my head?"
Otherwise, welcome to one of the easiest jobs in the world (if you've got an head and like some math). Don't expect respect from the people that actually the assemble the machines you program. At best, they treat you like the local shaman that comes around to summon the machine spirit. At worst, they don't even know what the fuck you do.
If you ever program something with a klaxon or any other sound alarm, always remember to use that to scare the living shit out of people. It's fun as fuck.

Finnally:
>it makes me kind of eager to get to more difficult tasks
Like Sam once said, that's good. Why that's very good!
With any kind of programming, in any hardware/software, your main tool to learn and improve is not your intellect, but your curiosity.
Don't try to memorize things, learn that they exist and how to find them again when you need them.
Never settle for a tried and true resolution, there's always better ways of doing things.
And the "more difficult tasks" are things that will make you pull out hairs, scream at it, spend nights wake, hammering code, and when the sun rise, you load it in, press Start and machine chugs happily. It's one of the best feelings in the world. Just take it slow at first, and always remember that the mechanical safeties are there to ensure the operator of the machine doesn't get hurt. Your code is there to ensure the machine doesn't hurt itself.
No really, I once had a block that converted several parameters into a force that a servomotor applied on an object. Instead of applying 500 Kilograms, I applied 500% of the nominal force. About 12 tons, if I recall. The entire machine broke in two and collapsed on itself. Why? Because I decided to leave safety limits and protections to the end. If people thought Nurglestation was bad, you should have been there to see this one. I don't do stuff like that anymore, I tell you that.
>be a SCADA engineer, and help with system integration
I might be wrong, since it's the other side of the ocean and all, but around here, SCADA engineers and System Integrators are quite rare. They're usually the guy working at our client's companies that actually knows code. Usually, the only one. So he ends up working with our code, and either requests us to expose data or outputs over the network for them to use, or does it himself. Pretty much a continuation of our work after the machine is built, I guess.Very stable jobs, but I fear they'd be too stale for me if I wasn't constantly working with new machines with new hardware.
But hey, industrial automation is a big field, absolutely filled with folks that gave up on learning new shit 20 years ago. Folks like you and me got a massive advantage after you get one or two years on a job. There's been no shortage of job offers on my email for the last year, but I love my country too much to move abroad.

It fills me with confidence to know all of this. The things you linked are exactly the stuff we're working on, at the start of the fall semester. The Omron thing looks really cool and I can already see, or imagine, some of its useful functions. A lot of the stuff you're talking about, as far as tips, my teacher has gone over. We've done the 'outputs can only be used once' thing. We've only done book-test programs to learn the functionality of the software, but even in that he's been putting things in to make sure we have alarms and systems in place to alert us. He also went over that Electrical is rapid, but it takes time for mechanical devices, so you have to make sure you program in the time.
What's kind of interesting, and what i'm really jazzed about, is that we're writing the code right now, learning to create all of the programs, like what you've linked, but we're also doing electrical troubleshooting, motor maintenance, and how to install and construct the cabinets that the PLC's go in. So it'd be stuff of, I write the program for the PLC, draw the design for the cabinet, install the components, do the wire-guide, set up the network, make sure it works in the real world, and be done with a project. I was worried that the Ladder Logic stuff didn't count as 'real' programming, but if this really is what we're doing… I'm super excited. The system seems easy, and the process really 'clicks'.
The flow of logic, and the way the machines execute functions just 'makes sense'. One of the things that had me worried that I was doing something really wrong, or that I was just picking it up quick, and that I couldn't tell the difference, was that one of the programs we had to write took one student something like an hour and a half, and I had finished it, with checks in 20-30 minuites. Part of the stuff we're working on in the class is creating a lot of save-files of easy projects and assignments, and building up a large save-space of various programs to call back on later.
>>16126407
This too. Having all these saved systems I built once, and labled with what they do, I can see how it would just make everything so easy. It's one of the things I want to do, is make it so if someone comes onto my work in 5/10/20 years, they can take one look at it, go "Ok, that's the problem." Fix it, and not have to screw around looking at 10 million possible faults and errors. A personal philosophy of mine is "Safety first and second." I've seen a lot of industrial accident reports and death caused because of bad design, and my 'goal' is so that no one ever gets hurt because of something I made.
I know Automation is really a huge field and only getting bigger. I am so excited to think of all the stuff I can do, and the implementation of equipment. I know travel can be a big part of it, and I love driving and flying, so I'm really hoping to get on with a company that can do that. I've also been talking with a friend and building a base of IT information, for networking and the like, because people said that would be a big plus. One of the things that I think is really funny, is that the main reason i'm doing this, is because of /v/, particularly in showing me a few games, where I played them, went 'this is fun, is there a real life version of this?' and started to open and explore into the field of industrial automation. It's really nice seeing someone else talking about the fun of the coding, the industry as a whole and these tips. Thanks a lot anon.

I usually defend that kids should learn some programming in Highschool. Just simple stuff, like Pascal or something simple. It teaches you a diferent way of approaching problems, of structuring solutions to those problems.
And yeah, most Ladder programers started out as Electrical Engineers (I'm one). Which means their code ends up being shit, since you don't really learn to code with our degree. Heck, at my college, the only PLC experience I had was the final project. About 4 months of programming a central climate control system that I'm pretty sure my teacher stole to implement on his own house.
Where I work, the programmers don't really assemble the electrical part. We have a Design team that plans the machine, the Electrical team that plan the electrical parts and cabinet (and later assemble it) and the mechanics, Engineers and technicians that assemble and test it. Programmers are tipically the last to be called down to the workshop, since you'll download your code and go straight into testing. Also, dealing with clients. Not uncommon to have clients visit and request this or that feature. Often, they get the impression that the programmer is the one in charge (99% of the time, it's someone on the design team).
>building a base of IT information
Excellent idea. There's some philosophies and ideas from the more abstract "Computing Engineering" that you can adapt to PLC's.
Object Oriented Programming is, for instance, not something you'd think you could use since you don't have classes in Ladder, but you can use the IDEA behind it: make a datatype composed with several dozen vars that represent something. For instance, the state and status of a Robot. Read the inputs available on the robot and you can extrapolate a lot more data that you store on a variable of that Data-type. You pretty much create a "cyber-twin" of something physical.
It's also good for me to see more people taking on the same path and discovering they're good at it. Good luck anon, and don't visit /clang/ too much, otherwise things will get freaky.

I can see some of that being rather easy to implement, but some would take some time. Traders for instance would need some pathfinding, and you can glean from the lack of actual NPC's in-game that SS13 never was that great at Pathfinding. Still, something could be arranged, I guess.
At the very least, we could start with something rather simple, where people mine out their town, and build workshops, I guess. Then build from there. If I have time, I'll try my hand at it, but honestly, I don't think I'd have time to do more than a very simple base for other people to code shit in afterwards.
I also wouldn't like for it to be straight up dwarven-copy of DF. We should give it an 8/v/ flavour.

That's one of the things I am really focusing on as I learn this stuff. I want to make it so that if /I/ was working on, or installing equipment, that it would be easy. I want to have stuff be designed neatly, the flow of things to make sense, and for everything to be really well documented, so that if anyone ever opens the cabinet, it all makes sense. I know I probably won't do it, but I have this image of including a paper version of the schematic/program and having that on the inside door of any equipment I work on, so that if anyone comes along and opens it, they can see the program, and the wiring schematic, with the stuff labeled on it, and in the box. That might just be me, not understanding how these industrial systems are set up though.
b130c6 No.16127134

>please keep the maintenance tech
We usually have a "Setup" screen on the HMI where you define most of the settings for the inner workings on the machine. If I know the maint tech guy, I fill that thing up with anything he might need and then some. If the client doesn't have a technician employed, they can get fucked: they never request a screen like that, when shit hits the fan, they call us (and pay for an intervention). As far as I know, most clients will pay 2 to 3 interventions before deciding that hiring one of you is a better idea.
I learned the newer stuff by myself, but I fondly remember digging up very old machines (15 to 20 years old) in a factory with the help of the resident tech guy, and it was like an archeological expedition. The guy was there when those things were installed, I'm talking about PLC's that are so old, the manufcaturer will respond with a "What?" when you ask them about it. Fun times.
>>16126569
>>16126528
I was gonna suggest using the Beepsky A-star pathfinding for it. It's kinda crappy and slow, but you'd need something like that for "Invasions" aswell anyway. Or what, the goblins just show up on your front door and decide to live there, attacking people who come closea but never delving deep into the player's base? I mean, that could work, I guess, but wouldn't be the same.
Also, something I just thought about. If we wanted to avoid asset swap… wouldn't the same idea (7 intrepid idiots explorers settling inhospitable place) work just aswell on an asteroid map? We could keep the SS13 setting, just drop a "cart" (more like a pod) with some basic supplies, drop players around it and voila: mine the asteroid, make a base, try not to die. Heck, the Z-levels could be actual Z-levels for once, I guess.
>including a paper version of the schematic/program and having that on the inside door of any equipment I work on
We do that for the electrical schematic. For some clients, it's even a requirement, because the resident tech guy specifies it. It makes their job a lot easier, since we also label every cable and connection. Sadly, the program isn't handled the same way. For the larger one's, I'm not sure you could that even if you wanted. The best I can do, is leave comments everywhere (that's an habit I picked up coding for SS13) not only for me, but for anyone else looking at it.
I also make sure to write the comments in English because:
a) Some of our clients are French/German/Czech. We can't do multiple languages like an HMI, so English is accepted by everyone.
b)The other programmers that work with me can barely speak english. And they hate how I work because I refuse to simply copy old projects and tweak them to suit the new machine (yeah, this is a thing, and it kills me inside when I see it). So fuck'em.

Not sure that is very important when you have booze. Just simplify Z-Levels and avoid putting big natural bodies of water in the maps. Though, unlike Water, Magma is pretty iconic. So some kind of fluid spread mechanic would probably be important, could atmos code be repurposed for that somehow?

Changelings are somewhat easier to deal with, it just requires that you think about who's acting funny. Changelings have to operate under the same rules as antags, in that their powers only really have an element of surprise and using them in the wrong place in the wrong time, which has an element of tense randomness since if you catch someone alone, usually in an office, you have to be very quick and have a plan to hide shit.
Shadowlings specifically have powers that changes the environment to their advantage. Second, Changelings are usually one per match, Shadowlings can group up because there's multiple.
This means that you can coordinate with your group to shut off lights, sabotage the station's power grid and then hatch and go nuts. Another thing they can do is straight up cultist rules, where they can Enthrall people to change their objectives and essentially multiply. Shadowlings even have abilities that straight up murder their thralls, no outs, for a bonus effect just in case someone gets salty.
They have shitloads of powers, like Wizards, with none of the downsides of outing yourself immediately since they operate in the dark and have powers innately.
They start out as a regular crewmember, hatch when they want in a dark area when they've established low light conditions, and then have access to shitloads of powers and tools that make it very easy for a shadowling to survive, and getting a space/mining suit to protect yourself from light essentially means you've negated your one weakness, while armoring up. Getting more thralls equals more powers, and getting to 15 means you're literally invincible and can make people explode, which on high pop servers like Hippie is exceedingly powerful because getting thralls is literally point and click, exceedingly stealthy as well.
It doesn't help that the wiki page on it is written in complete and utter reverence of the fucking concept, touted as "super hard" to play, using language like "it is well within a shadowling's power" and such shit, coming off as exceedingly pretentious.

Maybe just have a creek on the map? Could also use a shovel item that can "channel" out soil on a single z-level like back in version .23a. That could let water flow around through player made channels for potentially nefarious purposes. Same could apply to magma. I don't feel like biomes and such are really that important. If anything just a couple of different maps could get the feel of it.

Wow, now I don't even regret getting banned from that place. Good riddance.

iszmx or whatever (plays lexia black on bagil) is one of those "le ironic racism ughhhhh lame" types
Massive powergamer, most people have heard of lexia. What people don't know is that when lexia does get outplayed it usually results in an ahelp, lexia also gets extremely salty at rubbershot because he can't spam adrenals to get unfucked, which is why he often runs the martial arts scroll to deflect projectiles. Honestly, for people who powergame that hard the best weapon you can get your hands on is a pot/water bomb on a spear, or just a plain spear and huck it at them.

>Lexia
Might be the wrong one, but I remember that name:
>late join as CMO
>Lexia playing a doctor
>actually looks at my IC description, finds out my character is younger than his character IC
>throws a bitchfit about it, how could I be CMO if I'm less experienced
>bitches when I make some trivial surgery
>actually attempts sabotage but tries not to kill someone with it
>fire him because he's a liability
>bitching and moaning all round
>next round, I go Janitor
>Lexia went CMO just to spite me
>gets angry because I didn't pick a medical role he can boss over
>decide to obsessively clean the medbay
>gets tired of me hanging around with a shit-eating grin, calls security
>security politely asks me to leave, I do so but only after a through cleaning with a grenade
>Lexia slips and falls, screams obscenities
>get an atmos guy
>ask him to redirect some pipes near medbay
>get a full trashbag, dump it on disposals
>the disposals chute is now directly connected to medbay
>knock on door
>"Hey, I heard you guys got a bit of a litter problem, I'll be in and out in no time, don't worry!"
I might be confusing this with another player on Baystation (they're even more autistic) but I destincly remember that name from somewhere, and I'm 90% sure it was this.

The guy that plays Lexia is probably in cahoots with some of the server admins. I have seen it lure megafauna from lavaland at least two times as a non-antag miner and then get away scot-free with not even a admin saying something about it. Around the new year eve she/he lured Bubblegum into the station and two rounds after that lured an Ash Drake into the station.
The second I space the dead body of a chemist (which I didn't even kill) who I saw dragging the mime corpse in space near Atmos a while ago in a full EVA suit (Which also had like 2 grenades in his backpack), I get BWOINKed for "that is not a good reason" despite everyone screaming LING LING LING and the chemist being a plain obvious traitor/ling.
