Well… I'll never be able to turn this into a franchise so I might as well ideafag with /v/ on it before I bury the hatchet.
Atrox: truth of bellum is a tragic survival war story set in the sci-fi world. It is full of horror, depression and fleets of hope that maybe you'll make it and create a stable civilization rather than a dystopia, but in the end no matter from which side you play you will face your inevitable death, making victory a sweet dream. You'll face your death either from the incoming new aliens making this a small fish in an ocean situation or your own viruses, weaknesses, harsh environments and the other 2 races.
You get to play as humanity or humanity's 2 failed experiments which symbolically represent technology and biology through 2 alien races.
You start off just struggling to survive the harsh environments of the alien planets as you try to evolve for the war coming up. Metaphorically you're three fish fighting for survival in a lake with minimum resources, but soon the ocean will spill over, rendering 99% of your efforts meaningless.
Your only chance to make it is through constant evolution of your civilization. You have to sacrifice certain areas of your civilization and keep mixing and progressing in mystery upgrades that have a 0.01 chance to make you powerful enough to ever advance to the end game. You start off advanced but not enough for the harsh world around you, you must keep on, struggle and evolve or die.
