If you really want to play Bloodborne, at the very least look into an imported PAL Game of the Year version which has the DLC on disc so you don't have to give Sony shekels (because of course SoA refused to give us a complete release natively). And normally I'd just sage your faggot ass, but I have a warning for anyone reading:
I actually just had a GotY copy of it arrive myself (regular English print thankfully; I know there's a print SoE has been trying to push that signals just how sandnigger friendly it is, like I need more reason for disgust), and went to check for game updates. The shipped version is sub-current, and thus has an update to be done, albeit a fairly small one that's about 150mb. That's not what I'm here to say though. I generally run my system with the internet disabled, aside from solely and briefly to do game updates that thankfully don't require the system to be up to date as well, since I do hope that somewhere down the line a hack for 5.55 becomes feasible. I have had zero issues with doing so in the past, though admittedly my experiences are still pretty limited, having only gotten the system last winter. However, today upon enabling the internet to update the game, Sony's servers immediately told the system to start downloading the last system firmware update as well (6.20; apparently been out less than a week at present, from what I see mentioned in a quick search), despite my having the system settings done so that it explicitly WON'T try it on its own. Needless to say, I quickly scrambled to the downloads section and cancelled that one before it could complete and start the install process, so my system is still at 3.55, and promptly turned the internet back off once the game patch was finished. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong (I kind of doubt it; I've had mine unupdated since GR2's servers went down), but it strikes me as worrisome that they can apparently try to push a system update through like that, without regard for what your system's settings for being able to do so are, and if they can try to keep you from having ability to use CFW that way, who's to say they won't also try to force censorship patches through as well? At this point though, I've pretty much got every game I cared about already installed and up to date, with this import being the last of them, so I feel like I have no need to risk another unauthorized attempted update to 6.XX in the future. Point though, is to any anons that have a system that could possibly get a hack or CFW in the future, be very careful.
While I'm at it though, is there an option at this point to download game patches and install them via USB, rather than have the system itself do so, or does that require CFW at this point? Seems like it could save a lot of potential stress if able to do so without having to turn the internet access on and risk things.
