New 18 Person HL Raid: Akasha. Harder than Protobaha HL, has a new series of weapons obtainable. They are kind of like cosmos/atma weapons, but limited to one per grid.
Axe:
Skill 1: Gives Large Atk and Large TA to axe and fist spec characters.
SKill 2: Gives bonus damage to axe and fist spec characters on the third hit in a TA.
Dagger:
Skill 1: Gives Large Atk and Large boost to debuff success to dagger and sword spec characters.
Skill 2: Gives a boost to damage to sword and dagger spec characters based on # of debuffs on enemy.
Bow:
Skill 1: Gives Large Atk and Large Crit chance to bow and gun spec characters.
Skill 2: Gives a boost to damage to gun and bow spec characters when they crit.
Staff:

I tried placing all the weapons onto the logo to make it more clear which is where. 100% certain the dagger is Lowain's weapon now since the handle design is actually visible on the logo and I never noticed it before now. I haven't played GBF since about April-June due to an incident but i want to get back into the swing of things. Due to burn-out, I didn't farm much of the new content that came out around those months either. A combination of Arcarum, Magna 2 and rank grinding got the better of me. I'd like some help with sorting out my priorities and with some questions.
Magna 2 is still something I'd like to farm, did pub raids get easier to join and contribute in or are crew+lobbies still the way to go?
I have done nothing pertaining to the EX-2 classes, I haven't even checked the co-op stages but Kengo seems like a pretty good class to have. Are any of the other ones good and should i make them a priority?
Are there any other things i need to keep my eyes on like new content or the like?
I also lucked into some MobageCoins in a giveaway, are any of the characters/summons in pic2 worth ticketing? Most of my teams are set but Light and Dark could always use some help.
Finally, i'd like to apologize to crew 1 for taking up a slot for so long. I should've said something but i was so focused on physical therapy and rehabilitation that I ignored everything gaming-related in my life for a few months and i didn't have the drive to start GBF again afterwards.

1. Magna 3 got announced, hold off on farming Grimnir too much until news on that comes out. Alexiel is still solid to farm since katanas are objectively superior to Yggy swords, plus axes. Shiva is fairly worthless besides his animas and Europa Harps are good is youre ultimate water memeing with Zodiac Doggo, Summer Grea, 5* Uno and Kengo.
2) Glorybringer is nice for light, runeslayer is unholy for fire if you have 5* Esser due to echoe overload. Nekomancer is pretty bad.
3) Light Silva is pretty decent for heavy ougis, nothing else in your list screams (YOU NEED ME). Bonito FLB is broken and a key component in water breaking the game in just about every conceivable way with the aforementioned water team.
4) Arcarum oracles are coming at anniversary and they might have their FLBs available at the very start, some new art just got released for each so pick whichever.

1) Yeah, my priority for Magna 2 was Earth-Wind-Light and Dark-Water but i'm gonna move Wind to the back and focus on those first three.
2) I'm going to probably hold off on EX-2 classes for a bit until I get my grids sorted. Afterwards, I'll go with Kengo and then see what's up with the new classes. I do remember a Light Nekomancer Staff team doing quite well but that was a very niche use case most likely.
3) Yeah, most of the characters that I want/need are either gala exclusive or a GW character. My spark fund is going towards Alexiel and the new zodiac so those gala characters are pretty far off. Ticketing a summon always felt pretty shitty to me but i don't really have any stand-out options. Wulf and Bonito are going to be my main picks but I'm going to wait until the last minute to choose.
4) My oracle pick is going to be Moon most likely since i like her design and my Water team needs help and i don't really want to farm 5*Uno even though he's the best option. Tower and Hanged Man are also viable picks for me since Earth is my favored element but I like neither of their designs. I really wish we got more info on the oracles so i could make an informed decision.
The new art did reveal that Hanged Man is a Dagger user and with that Akasha Dagger >>15880025 he might be a really good fit in Earth teams. Something like Alexiel/Sarasa/Hanged Man. The only other proficiencies i can spot are Devil and Star who seem to be Fist characters due to their posing but that's just conjecture.

Hanged Man's summon is actually really good because its a source of Clarity early on in the battle, with the addition of an extra effect and having superior stats to most if not every other clear summon. Also, crew 3 happens to have an open spot if you'd like.

From what I remember, Hanged man does have one of the better summon effects compared to the others at least. The only other Clear summon is Baal and Hanged man is objectively better than him.
Now that i look at it again, "Caims" art makes me think that he's a mirrored version of Quatre, using random buffs instead of debuffs. That only holds true if the summons are indicative of the associated Oracles however. In which case, i feel sorry for Dark and Wind.

I'm not sure if this mentioned or posted before but there's a new Row 3 class coming. It's called Gladiator and with it you can equip two mainhand weapons. It's proficiencies are sword and katana.

Finished FLBing the Akasha sword today. Twitter/Wiki found out that it gives 20% EX attack up/10% debuff success rate up to sword/dagger users.
With some testing on it's swordmaster skills, this weapon has 20% def down nuke on Awaken, 24% Echo on attack, Party-wide Veil + MC DA up on Resonance, and party-wide 20% Light DMG lowered for 2 turns on Defend.
The Echo benefits from the weapons 2nd ability.

From what i can gather, if you land in the zone you get ten-draws until you get an SSR. Because it's ten at a time you can still get multiple SSR in a single batch.
My machine translation says: "During the gachapin mode SS rare comes out or you can withdraw ten consecutive gacha for up to 30 times (total of 300 consecutive) for free." I'm assuming that "SS rare comes out or 300 rolls" actually means that you can ten-roll for an SSR up to 30 times.
This thing makes free-rolls during the non-fest days a lot more beneficial. The optimist in me also says that if you get 100+ rolls in this new mode that it doesn't count towards the guaranteed 100 roll.

Doctor has made a R character useful. Elmelaura has an EMP passive where she heals for 300 at turn start for free. Doctor's Nutrient skill boosts all healing by 1000 for 3/6 turns.
So now she gives your team a free 1300 heal for half of the battle. Backline butler has this same passive, but I'm not sure how many others do

Normal SR Elmott and La Coiffe have the same EMP. It's fairly unique.
Recovery cap boost is a pretty cool mechanic, I'm glad they added it. I experimented with it back when dark Cag came out. Since it triggers on any healing, Refresh and Drain are the main benefactors from it. It should also be noted that Revitalize and Refresh count as separate healing instances so they're both boosted by the healing cap increase.
There are certain characters that pair up really well with this buff. For Refresh there's Dirt La Fille, Dark Cag (of course), basically anyone with a long lasting Refresh. Funf, Lennah and SR Sophia are even better since their Refresh/Revitalize sync up really well with the Doctor buff.
Drain doesn't have as many stand out characters but it has one that is a perfect fit. Agielba.
For anyone who doesn't know, Drain does not activate multiple times if you multi-attack. It does trigger every time you counter. This a core part of Agielbas skill set. The Healing cap boost can give Agielba up to an extra 4000HP for a total of 12000HP in a single turn with just his skills and Doctor. This can be paired up with the aforementioned Refresh/Revitalize for some completely unnecessary healing. This also works for anyone with a counter skill if you can give them drain.

Got 30 rolls and before pulling Clarisse (Holiday), she's not bad despite the wiki giving her a 8.5 rating, she can constantly apply ATK down (stackable) & DEF down (stackable) up to 30% each with a cooldown of both skills being 4 turns, it's great for when miserable mist misses.
I'm happy that I got her but as I said I'm an idiot for using my rolls too soon

Proto Baha HL gives at the minimum 1 merit per raid, with a chance of getting more from other chests, though your expected to contribute.
Normal P.Bahamut and GO are the raids you leech from if you want to go with 3-raids at once approach. If your trying to maximise your time/merit ratio, I would recommend joining Baha HL coop room and fighting it, while also leeching 2 twitter GOs/Bahamuts constantly on the side.
The biggest source of merits though is from GW boxes, since you tend to get 160 merits if you farm out boxes #4~#40, along with merit drops from EX+ and NMs.

You'll need tier 1 animas for GO hosts, and they drop merits pretty regularly, so just try to join them whenever you need to drop ep. Buy out all the side stories and events too.
Most importantly, if you are 40boxing, you will only need 350 merits, as the GW box past 4 gives 4 merits per box.

She usually gets one solo charge attack and one use of overdrive assassin off before biting it, easily doing more than the rest of my team's damage.

When you get a proper Dark grid with Celeste Claws or anything else with Enmity skills, then Beatrix can hit like a truck after a single use of her third skill. Thanks to the ATK down effect of her second skill and the invincible effect on her ougi, she can handle long battles surprisingly well for a character that stabs herself for almost half health now and again. Sword specialty also lets her benefit from the Omega Sword, making her multiattack rate pretty good even outside of her first skill.
Be glad you don’t have to deal with old original Beatrix. She automatically switched between three different modes and no one wanted to understand how it worked.
