Been playing the new Hitman games recently, they're pretty fun. They remind me a lot of Blood Money.
Pros
>Dense open ended levels
>Targets have long and complicated routes with loads of approach angles
>Loadouts and starting locations give even more options to optimize
>Hilarious dialog is a great replacement to Blood Money's bobblehead cartoon caricatures
>Lots of cool little details
>Elusive Targets are intense, and I can't really imagine getting an experience of similar intensity without the online features. Though they need to make it impossible to reset the level for it to be perfect
Cons
>Special kills would be really cool to discover on your own, but they decided to put map markers to hold your hand to almost all of them. (Thankfully not all)
>They decided to put a hint of modern politics in the game for some reason (Thankfully sparce, but the last mission of 2 is the worst offender of course)
>Expensive
By far the biggest con
>They tied the fucking loading screens to the online service, so if you're in online mode then you might be unable to load the level if there's high traffic
What did all you guys think?

In 1 all unlocks were tied to online only, you had to be online to unlock anything beyond the base loadout, as well as to equip them. Don't know if they continued that to 2, probably yes.

The two biggest things are contracts and Elusive Targets
Contracts are a new system where people can flag an NPC in a level as a target and make a challenge out of it. I could flag some random guard in the attic as the target and say you have to kill him with a field axe while dressed as a clown, so you've got to figure out how to get the axe and the clown suit all the way over to him.
Elusive Targets are special contracts that they will release every now and then into an existing level. You only can try to kill them once, if you fail, they're gone and you can't try again. There are special scenes and scenarios for them too, but there's no hints or anything as to how to kill them. It's really intense and there's a lot of pressure. But then you realize you can just hit restart level andly time you mess up.

That you are a marketer doing research, so here's my input.
IOI are fucking retards for going from Square Enix to WB.
Story is dogshit, wish they didn't force it, but at least contracts mode exists.
>100 dollars for 5 maps, 2 reskins at some unknown point in the future, and 1 more sniper map.
>HI™AN 2016 had 6 full maps, 2 tutorial maps, and 2 reskins for 60 dollars.
Fuck off
>not mentioning denuvo as the biggest con
>targets have long and complicated routes
Eat shit, shill, literally the only targets with good path are Alma in tutorial level, the writer and cultist in patient Zero, and Abiatti in Landslide, because they won't idly loop and wait for God 47 to bless the NPC's with his presence and set a scripted opportunity mission story in motion.
REMOVE DENUVO
Instead of hiring ethnically, philosophically and "gender diverse" staff try hiring someone who can program so
>stairs punch is fixed,

I really wish that they'd introduce a cooperative mode that plays normally rather than like Sniper Assassin. One assassin would be female, so they'd have to equip female disguises. Also, where the fuck are bloody footprints.
Anyways, does anyone know how to fix Blood Money? I can't figure out the problem, but it always crashes after completing a mission or at some segments if playing in first person mode. I heard it was a driver issue.

ET's are the shittiest part of the new hitman games. You can only complete them once, they're time limited to a couple weeks and then they're gone. Once you've killed your target, if you die you are locked into a failstate and you can't replay.
The worst thing about them is that completing ETs are the only way to unlock more default disguises other than DLC. If you get Silent Assassin on an ET him Hi™an 2016 you would unlock a variant of that stage's default disguise but with gloves, and you could use it on any stage. So if you completed an ET set in Paris you'd unlock Tux + Gloves for whatever stage you want.
Then there's the classic costumes you can only unlock by completing a certain number of ETs. So the only way to get the Blood Money suit is to complete X ETs, same for the torn up Absolution suit and I think they added a black tie suit.
They eventually did a rerun of all of the ETs in Hi ™man 2016 so I expect they'll do the same for 2, it's just a really shitty model.

You have to decide that for yourself. Hi™man 1 and 2 both have a solid core game but there are some heavy flaws. I can look past it and get my money's worth of enjoyment, I don't know if they would be worth playing pirated unless you can get one that comes with a save file that has equipment unlocked. Unlocks and scoring are entirely tied to IOI's servers so unless you're happy with the default loadout (which is entirely feasible, all you really need is Silverballer + Coins + knowing how to abuse the AI) and if you can be happy with setting goals for yourself. From what I understand the scoring window is completely broken offline so you are going to have to decide for yourself whether you actually got a silent assassin, no bodies found, no evidence etc. Or at least that's what it seemed like in 1 from screenshots I saw.

That said the fucking online all the time bullshit rubs me the wrong way but it's not often I get a solid Hitman game so I guess I'll deal with it like a retard. Last level of the main campaign is piss easy though. I got Silent Assassin on my first run and it took me about twelve minutes. All the other levels were larger, more challenging, and had more interesting NPC placement. Last level was bereft of people which made sense because it was in a highly secure hospital but they're the dipshits that decided to make the story go that direction. Last mission fucking sucked but the rest of the game was easily a 9/10.

>I dislike the idea of humanising 47, I think he's best as a robotic killing machine who just takes out who he's told to.
Isn't it the whole point of the game though? 47 goes through an existential crisis, understandably, after discovering that not only he's not the only one of himself, he's a God forsaken creation that will end up in the void once his time has passed and has no use for his vast riches as his only emotions are anger and remorse, some priest takes him in and gradually humanizes him but by the end of the game he goes full on nihilistic and understands that despite there being perfectly nice people who may help him change he cannot escape the fact he's a robotic, unfeeling, sadistic killing machine and that salvation is something that he can't be bothered with.
>I also dislike the idea of the "only taking out bad people" thing. I think he and ICA should be true neutral.
You get to kill plenty of "non-issue" or minor criminals in the new ones, there's a Home Alone ripoff mission that has you kill literally two scaredy cat burglars just because an insurance company got angry at them and a bunch of Z-list celebrities just because they got on the wrong side of their (((producers))). Plus if you consider the context of the killings, 99% of the time it's an evil organization asking you to murder someone from another evil organization, which is understandable, as in, goody two shoes don't ever have the kind of preparedness that someone with a lot of blood on his hands would have.
Also, unrelated but I seriously urge people to pirate Hitman GO, it has no right to be this addictive.

Nailed it. Events, while elaborate and can be pretty cool, don't feel natural. Blood Money felt natural. Coin and Panic are still OP but don't work too well on large crowds, which is where the game wants you to be the most and at the most disadvantage.
There's way too many toilets and chandelier kills available.
AI is even more pathetic than the previous games and don't react or move around too much, but they make up for it by being able to hear a pin drop from a kilometer of distance.
They removed the YOINK garrote kill, arguably the best glitch in the whole series, garrote itself now barely useful because most places where you need to kill someone has a convenient hiding spot and somewhere to store their bodies.
Graphics are insanely good and so are the interactions with and among NPCs, they have a lot of dialogue and responses to what you do and even a lot of fun easter eggs and bonus exit locations, Sapienza and the Paris building are jaw dropping, the American stages are boring as fuck comparatively.
Still more challenging than the usual drivel from AAA but you need to be online for the retarded drm.

Holy fuck I love Contracts sometimes. NuHitman is alright but IO should have stayed with smaller levels and tighter guard setups, it makes alternate approaches more meaningful than something like World of Tomorrow, where there are three easy ways in and two of them take you to godmode kills on your targets

I can tell IOI learned so much from Hitman: HITMAN. I mean, I haven't gotten to daddy Knox yet and there were some fun things like getting the crashed driver to piss by overflowing the sink, but I'd really like a "use your fucking brain" difficulty without pre-placed disguises, body hiding and proximity triggers.
4e2e0a No.15999567
>just finished it
It was pretty casual. The only real difficulty on master was figuring out the asinine opportunity triggers for those targets who have no real ways to kill them cleanly on their regular route, and even then there were too many of those opportunities and most of them were too easy to set up with the only challenge coming from trying to do so with minimal non-target kills/knockouts. But unfortunately opportunities sometimes suffer from a desire to knock-off Bond and make you do everything personally so 47 can be sardonic to his victim, making clean approaches either tedious or impossible.
The rest of the game was pretty unremarkable and another example of doing the opposite to Absolution, rather than learning from Blood Money or even the last season.
