I loved Bastion, but I heard as of Pyre they started shoehorning in a bunch of SJW crap.

Bastion was only good for one play through, regardless of your opinion on it. Kind of a shame, combat was actually okay.

Transistor would have been a far better game if they had just decided ether to do real time combat like Bastion or some kind of turn based tactical rpg kind of thing. Trying to add both was a cluster fuck

all of them have 10/10 GOAT soundtracks and fucking prove me wrong

Bastion apart from the OST (which wasn't very fitting for a video game really) just wasn't very good. the gimmicky voice actions were in hindsight really simplistic and the combat was ridiculously dull. The lack of enemy variety really gave a lot less importance to the weapons you decided to take with you. I think even the limited weapon loadout hurt the game. Move sets are too simple for two weapons to be consistently enjoyable to use when the enemy variety is so lackluster, it probably would have been better to allow players to have all of them at once but sort of have 3 or 4 buttons assigned to each one.

Never played anything past that, none of the games seemed very interesting and Bastion left a poor taste in my mouth.

it doesn't improve the combat, just adds basic buffs and incentivizes risk/reward play that actually limits your options in combat. Weapons still have dull move sets and there's fuck all enemy variety.

It seems pretty simple and artsy fartsy. Seems like a decent game for the two dollars it costs, but sjws must go broke.

Bastion was good. Transistor was disappointing, with a boring world, with an ugly visual style that got worse as the game progressed (everything turning pure white). The gameplay was just not very good, with a massively restrictive normal combat mode and a far too overpowered but not interesting not-VATS-mode. Even the story was far less appealing, and so were the characters. There were also signs of leftist shit in it, with the tranny thing. I've never even heard of Pyre, though judging by this "Sandra" which I assume comes from it, it looks like they went full leftist.

TransResistor was pretty much a gigantic lost opportunity, art and music are the only things it has going, really thought they'd get clever with the game, it's just meh and it would have more endings, but then NieR Automato fixed that void for me.

They make decent indie games with care for their aesthetics and killer OSTs but Pyre wasn't exactly my jam. I'd like to see what they can do with a big enough budget to make a AA release

Bastion: fun game. Great soundtrack and the old man narrating everything made the game a lot of fun, as well as seeing his reactions to the different weapon combos. The idea that your character drinks more as he progresses, and that drinking being a source of power, is a great narrative device.

Transistor: Again great soundtrack, which seems to be their thing. The tweaks to combat are appreciated but overall the story was soured by the ending where she suicides. Feels like they tried to go for something deep but ended up just digging into a sewage-line. Final boss fight and the one against Sybil were pretty good though.

Haven't played Pyre yet. Didn't really know it existed, honestly.

Bastion is still the best game they've made. Their music is stellar, though.
