Not just outdated, but incorrect in one major way. The creator really screwed up by saying Professor Layton versus Ace Attorney isn't canon when it 100% is and it doesn't pull any amnesia bullshit either, although it doesn't have a bearing on anything besides itself. One of the game's major narrative strengths was its refusal to be just another "non-canon crossover game".
This list is otherwise good generally, but there are a few other things to address.
Release order Professor Layton v Phoenix Wright comes before Dual Destinies and after Investigations 2. You should have played at least the first game in the Layton series (Curious Village) before playing.
You can play Apollo Justice, Investigations (and then 2), and Versus in whatever order you want, release order is still recommended, but they don't really spoil each other. It is important you play Layton before Dual Destinies though, because they were in development for part of the same time, and several ideas (used and unused) from Layton were implemented in DD instead. Few fans know this.
I would definitely recommend a flashcart for these games, but Apollo Justice is on 3ds now, which means you can play the entire main series (everything but investigations) on a modded 3ds for free.
(Investigations 2 is my favorite in the series though so I will still recommended the flashcart.)
The very original ios version is also very good and fairly priced ($5), but I don't think it's available for purchase anymore. Can't speak to the newer versions.
