Would there ever by a situation where, hypothetically, if people were upset enough by so many bad games, AAA companys would have to resolve the situation by making games with say, ps2 level budgets, albeit upscaled in high resolutions? which company would be the first to do such a thing? Nintendo already had 2D segments with the literal fucking quality of the original super mario bros, and they charged 60 bucks for that, like what the fuck. in any case, i'd love for things to go that route, but it'll probably be a pipe dream, albeit a fun one
