I've been playing it too
>Gameplay is pretty good, if fairly easy(Some of the bosses I've faced so far like the GlockenSpiel and the Literature Guardian(this chick in particular was really fun to fight against) aren't so). I like how simple it is but how I can still pull off kind of sick combos with the right skills
>Surprisingly large amount of content to it, I mean I'm still in chapter 1 but a lot of other games would have ended right about now
>Very charming, kind of funny at parts
>Journal is pretty good too
<could use lots more music. The Scrooge mansion had great music, I can't really think of any other music in the game other than the school halls beat which seems like a 10 second loop. The Theater's music felt terrible and I can't tell if it's supposed to be on purpose or not.
<a lot of skills are worthless, especially once you upgrade tiers
<is the type of metroidvania where progression is through the story and not through getting some ability which opens up new parts of a map, sometimes quite literally where you can't enter an area until some point in the story progresses and suddenly you can now enter that area
<if skill sorceress was hot she(?)'d be titanium dick material
<I'm sick of the small 5 second animations between stores like Paul and Allen's self help store and the trenchcoat kids
So far I really like it. I'm curious about something though, to the people who had finished it.
In the Art Gallery there's a trenchcoat kid who sells super expensive shit like an overpowered sword and whatnot, one of those items has a passive where Daryl is supposed to talk and it fills in parts of the story, supposedly. Has anyone tried it and is it an actual thing or is it a joke item?
