I think the reason you get so much flack is because there's a name and face behind the BO tag. I think if nobody knew who you were, the rage directed towards moderation would fall on a blank slate. I've been here for 11 years now, this is not a brag, it's just experience I've obtained in imageboards, I've learned to detect specific behavior and lingo, and stamp it out and call people out. The average shitposter isn't going to change vernacular and syntax in the flick of a finger, they'll use different reaction images and end it there. If a shitposter becomes a bui, then we will bring out wordfilters/banbots/vols and see how different things are. It all takes effort, something foreign to their zealots running this place.

I disagree, there have been moments where things have kept a type of digital harmony, every generation (4 years roughly) there's a change in culture, and each change bring on a different type of obnoxious attitude with it. I will level with you and say it's SOME people, and what really makes a difference is how you deal with them.
I've seen outsiders just pour in by the dozens during the silver age of /v/, and then the moderators would simply accommodate them, something similar is happening here, but in a much, much slower pace, and I feel like I'm going fucking insane since I'm the only one who notices. No, I'm wrong, there have been other anons who notice them as well, but it's hard to make them leave, since we don't have the power to, there have been times, granted, where a good chunk of the userbase here goes on high alert and starts to bully outsiderfags, which makes me smile, but nonetheless, you see a couple of determined shitposters and newfags (I.E the ones who don't adapt) slip by moderators radar. It takes a united effort, almost a singular conscience to have people realize that there are undesirables lurking in the shadows, and they have to leave.
There isn't a good enough job being done right now, and it makes me sad, because after this place, I don't know where I'm going to go, and I get mad because I know I can change it, but don't have the tools required to lead and reform.
