what are some developers that in your opinion get all the glory undeservedly, or that their big hits weren't down to them but rather due to accidents/resting on a talented group? for the sake of discussion, let's not mention those who are already heavily discredited by everybody such as Molyneux or John Romero. I feel like pic related is the #1 suspect. A lot of people still give him credit even though everything he's been involved post Deus Ex has been terrible and he sounds clueless in every conference he gives.

the apparent reason he left was because he was against stuff like removing permadeath, he thought FE should stay 2D and that they should integrate gaiden mechanics(which FE has done in the end anyway).
Fire emblem after thracia always seemed to be made from his scraps. He clearly was one of the main driving points behind fire emblem even after he left.
