As much as I would've liked to have seen that. I don't really think there's a public demo with Dante as a playable character. That may change in the near future, but right now It's Nero only.

yeah, I couldn't find much. At least Nero looked decent when the journalists turned on the auto-combo. In the first video I found at least it shows a little bit of weapon swapping mid combo but nothing to intense. Really, it was just that one interview where Capcom confrimed cancelling was still in but Dante would "finish his animation" that has me concerned.

It should be mandatory for every games journo to be forced to use the auto-combo for demonstration purposes. You gain absolutely nothing from watching them fumble around with the controls doing bread and butter combos or stinger 7 times in a row.

Considering most journo impressions from Gamescom(where the press did get play with Dante behind closed doors) involve complaining about the music, it's safe to say not even auto can save em.

I'm hoping they mean that you can't cancel in the middle of an attack and cheese combat with slow weapons or do infinite aerial combos with Cavaliere. Worst case scenario would probably be some slower attacks getting the shotgun treatment while the others go untouched.

gameplay seems promising compared to DmC. It's that it looks like DmC in character design, and environments that are so saturated that if fits better in Dark Souls than in Devil May Cry that has me a little worried. Also, a small gripe. Couldn't they think of a better attack pattern than the tracking 3 lightning attacks? I've seen a similar style of attack in video games for a long time and this one bothers me since it's slow for the fast pace combat I'm expecting nobody to be hit by it. I'm guessing it was toned down for jounos because there was no flying attacks that followed after that behind teleport trying to keep you away. That teleport better not be just to drag the fight out longer without reason.

Its honestly looking to be the best one gameplay wise. The split focus on three campaigns has me concerned, but hopefully Dante, Nero and V's campaigns are all good and we can play each mission with each character. As you said, biggest problem with the game by far is its artistic direction, a good deal for which is caused by the engine and capturing the actors for MUH REALISM in a series which never needed it.

People are talking about V carrying a book of magic like Arkham did, so people think he could be related to him in some way. Would be a cool twist if you play as V, level him up and that version is who you fight in the final mission.

I imagine Lady, Trish and Vergil will be playable later on as DLC of course. Denuvo is also a problem.

Denuvo only means you'll have to wait a bit more to pirate it. It's really not an issue at all unless you have ADHD

Denuvo goes deeper than pirates being able to play day one or not. Very restrictive DRM harms legitimate customers and in some cases causes performance issues. There is also the chance that modding is affected due to Denuvo.

Studies shown that piracy doesnt even harm sales in the first place. Pirates wont buy the game anyways and sometimes if the game is fun enough it would even convince them to actually buy it. The DRM only prevents a good bit of actual paying customers from buying the game so Denuvo is only a negative with no positive points to it at all, it can be broken within a week now so whats even the point of having it anymore? Who the hell would seriously think that pirates are mentally handicapped retards with ADHD who can't wait a week to get the full game completely for free so they buy it day 1 instead risking the chance of them regretting their purchase too?

I wonder about this too.

I wrote the debug trainer / cheat table for DMC4SE and it was taken down before (then moved) since it gave away the microtransaction items. So I'm a little certain CAPCOM doesn't see the mods and hacks as good for business.
