>MOUSIN'
I have a Corsair Sabre RGB, but this thing is a piece of fucking shit with a fucking awful scroll wheel that broke everytime I RMAed it within 4 months and a piece of shit software that's slow and obtuse and was clearly designed by underpaid Indian workers.
Definitely looking for suggestions to replace this piece of ass, mostly looking into recommendations for RTS and FPS games.
>KEYBOARDIN'
I got the Logitech G910 as a Christmas present. It's pretty alright but these mechanical keys feel off and I found out recently it's because it's their weird offshoot version of them, it's okay when I type up reports and play games, but I'm the type of person that tends to strike keys at the sides, and this grinds against the keycaps so I had to get used to it.
>CONTROLLAN
I use a PS4 controller for general use and a Hori RAP 4 that I bought used and modded it with an octagonal restrictor gate, life's pretty fucking solid on that end with endless hours of Fightcade and I've been meaning to get into SHMUPs with it.

Unfortunate. Logitech makes the best mice, but their keyboards aren't great, and their gamepads are dogshit. Since you press keys from the sides, something with topre switches would be far more reasonable.

for mouse
i have no idea but for big hands since there's barely any mouse that fits big hands, but all mouses all use the similar microswitch for mouse presses and the sensors are so damn accurate you should be looking for durability and quality control, all the fluff about being able to change dpi and all that kind of crap, does not matter. if you're super autistic about accuracy, a trackball is technically the most 'accurate' but it's a trackball.
even the suggested zowie mouses are way overpriced and aren't big enough for big hands.
for keyboards
full-size keyboards is dumb for playing videogames that require a mouse. just go with keyboards without a numpad, gives you a lot more space for your mouse, without losing anything but the numpad. you won't even notice there is a missing numpad until you do actual work like 3d modeling.
things to look for when finding keyboards are:
>a) keycap material, thickness
ABS keycaps are bad, go for PBT or POM keycaps. Ideally you want 1.5mm thickness but anything over 1.0mm is good enough.
If the keycaps on the keyboard you're looking to buy are garbage, then you can look into replacing them if they have a standard stem, but if the stems of the switch is weird but the keycaps are good enough then there's no need to worry.
If you care about the legends fading away then avoid laser-etched keycaps.
>b) ideally light linear switches for serious gaming otherwise any keyswitch you like
i would choose to use light topre clone switches if i wanted to seriously play games
otherwise pick whatever that is not gay.
any other gay feature on the keyboard is just a bonus.

Corsair for pretty much everything to be honest. If you asked me two years ago I would have said just for Mouse and Keyboard, but they have the only decent virtual 7.1 headset on the market. If you don't have any issues with Razer they have the only legit as in 7 speakers actually inside the headset 7.1 headset. To be honest a keyboard is a keyboard so you could really go with anyone as long as you can see that it isn't just some cheap piece of shit plastic with a generic name brand on it. If you want mechanical most of the big names have mechanical keyboards out now. For mice you want the highest dpi you can get so you can drop whatever game or application you're playing's sensitivity to practically nil and pump up the mouse dpi for maximum pixel perfect accuracy. Again, unless you want autistically high dpi, most of the big names have 16k dpi. I used to own a logitech mouse that had 24k, but to most people in the peripheral world logitech is a dirty word.

The G502 has on-board memory and three swappable profiles, so you can set those extra buttons to whatever the fuck you want, and you don't need some shitty bloatware program running in the background to have it work. I've got them set to numpad keys since I'm on a TKL kb, which also gets around the issue of older games typically not recognizing anything beyond M1/2/3.
>>15658442
Before you go fucking with DPI and in-game sensitivity, the most important change you can make on that front is getting 1:1 input (6/11 hash mark) and turning off mouse acceleration if you're using it (it's on by default).

I constantly find myself hitting keys when I only meant to rest my finger on them. I type like a dyslexic with letters all out of order because it registered before I expected it to, and in games I over-control all over the place because I misjudge when it presses and when it releases.
