Maybe if people were more active in trying to promote games they think are actually good, rather than just criticising new games that other people like, you'd be showing others what good games actually are.
I mean as someone who grew up during the Playstation 2/Gamecube era, I have pretty much no experience of playing games made before then. I'm sure it's the same for most of my generation. Think about it, from my perspective there are so many older consoles and games out there it would take a lifetime for me to get a good handle on them now. It becomes a question of 'where do i even begin?'. I'm sick of seeing the same jaded personalities who are so worn out by every new game that comes out, yet when asked what they think a good game is they basically just go "no you underage faggot".
Show us what the good games are.
Tell us why you think they're good and why new games are bad in comparison.
That's the one main thing you can do if you want preserve the quality of games, but people here are too reluctant to do it.
