Good
<basically an entire movie trilogy worth of star wars but better than the prequels
<loyal to the franchise without being derivative
<decent writing
<fun characters
<pretty graphics, surprisingly well optimized at the time aside from dantooine
<quasi-tabletop system
Bad
>tiny, linear levels
>too easy
>can't select and control multiple characters, max 3 simultaneous party members
>infinite shared inventory with zero-cooldown consumables was a gamebreaker unless wilfully ignored
Also never played KoTOR2, as I was on a Mac at the time (no port), and haven't gotten around to it since switching platforms. First build was a lightside scout/consular focusing on a talky/techie approach.
In hindsight, this (especially its XBox port) was the beginning of the end for Bioware, but at the time I was already miffed at them from the mistaken impression I'd absorbed from the NWN demo (I ignored the expansions and multiplayer/modding) that parties were eliminated in favor of a single companion NPC and the campaign was a linear slog.
