It was my first game in the series and as a result also my favorite. After playing the first game I completely understand why people hate the second.

I didn't mind the darker turn. It's not like the game went full serious. My biggest problem with the game was the fact that they did the whole GTA thing of cops coming after you for trying to get places in a reasonable amount of time. The rest was pretty good, except for the hamfisted love triangle between Jak, Keira, and Errol. Speaking of Keira, the series doesn't get enough porn.

I'm not sure,but looking back the character was in a slow decline of relevance/focus since The first game. By the 3 Jak game she was just pretty much a very minor side character.

From what I remember, there was trouble with her voice actress at the time 3 was being development. They brought her back as Jak's love interest in Lost Frontier, though.

It was the first one I played and it's still my favorite, TPL comes second and Jak 3 third Hated it so much when they sidelined Keira and made red-haired bitch Jak's love interest instead of Torn's. Also there was so much wasted potential for Damas/ Spargus backstory besides being a dessert city on a wasteland and Damas losing his son and getting cucked out of power by Praxis.

The only reason people hate it is because it turned a bit edgy. Other than that, is as good if not better than Jak and Daxter. III is better, though.

She wasn't. The game tried to make love tension, a love triangle, and a romantic rival. You just meet the redhead earlier than Kira, and at that point Erol is trying to get in her pants.

In III, though, Keira was basically nonexistent, and Ashlen is the one that makes out with Jak at the end. And, I was wrong, it was Jak X that they again kept Keira as the romantic interest. Lost Frontier just continued that.

I think its mechanics were proportionately widened as their level of polish dropped. It added a bunch of shit and did them all pretty darn well compared to the original. I'd say it's a solid entry.

Good.

I liked it outside of the open world, and the shooting. Don't get me wrong, the shooting was fine but playing it right after Going Commando really made me wish Naughty Dog put more thought into it. As for the open world, I feel like it didn't do enough. It just exist to pad out time between missions.

But honestly I disliked the third the most out of the games, mainly because instead of refining the shooting they just made it way too easy with psuedo-autoaim high rate of fire weapons that reduced it to a joke.

Jak X is the best, fight me.

the VA, Anna Garduno, was busy with another dubbing project at the time (VAs are usually hired per project, not retained, which is why the cast of Pokemon voices the tragedies of Valkyrie Profile) so instead of hiring a soundalike (was Susan Roman busy?) or at least assuming we wouldn't give a shit, they replaced her with Tara Strong (no shits given) and then sidelined her in favor of an out-of-left-field romance with Torn's girl (poor Torn)

I actually did,but I don't even take that game into consideration. To me that's not cannon and it's not Jak and daxter,wasn't even made by naughty dog. I want to forget that it even exist.

Gun-kata abilities in general made Jak overpowered as hell, do the jumping spin attack with the yellow gun and with the auto tracking of the weapon you kill everything easily. Even the lunge attack with either the blue or red weapon let you kill and enemy instantly or with the blue go to full firing speed and fuck up everything.

Jak X is god tier though, I dont know why the fuck they didnt put it in the collection.
