Bonus points if you can bring Izanami out of the underworld with you and return her to her non-rotten form and romance her.
Imagine having to find ways to bait a Jikininki, or venturing off into a snow-blasted valley to banish the Yuki-onna, or helping a Mu-onna overcome her grief so she can pass on from the world, or helping a woman banish her own ikiryo. There's always a reason why a spirit morphs into what it is in Japanese mythology. The stories fucking write themselves. But instead, we get Judeo-Christian Hell with vagina apples and Planned Parenthood-approved messaging. I sure hope you like the idea of Satan slapping his big fat scarlet cock on your cute little forehead before he fucks your mouth dry, because that's all you're gonna fucking get in the mythological horror genre.
