As far as I remember the Android version is just a better Port of the PSP version. Vanilla PSP version is God awful because of the animation slow down. But that can be remedied with a hack. It's amazing to me that squaresoft allowed that game to ship in such an awful condition. The only other problem is the audio on both the Android and PSP versions is inaccurate as they lack proper Reverb of the original PlayStation version. So they sound effects for anyone that's really familiar with the original seem off. But if you've never played through the original it won't matter.

you can use Orator skills to permanently change your Bravery and Faith values, and certain reaction commands with 99 brave can just make you completely immune to physical attacks.

99 Faith can also make mages completely busted as long as you don't let them get hit by enemy magic. 1 Faith, on the other hand, makes you almost immune to magic. This also applies to friendly magic though, so it's best for units that A) have reliable self healing or items, and B) have gear that provides buffs, especially haste. Any units with Knight Swords easily fulfull the second condition, particularly your unique units with sword skill classes, as their damage is based on Phys stats and unaffected by Faith.

He talks about her origins, i also seem to remember him saying she is not the real princess, which conflicts with what i read on the wiki.

Yes FFT takes place after FF12, FF12 is probably some thousands of years in the past, considering airships ceased to exist by FFT yet the final battle takes place in an airship grave yard, this more or less directly proves FF12 with all its airships, to take place in the past.

More than that though I do believe there are some direct references to ajora, as well as ultima the high seraph, being a summon in 12, as well as all the other zodiacs.

Tactics makes references to previous games in it's quests. You can find all sorts of things, from the ruins of FF 2's Dreadnought Airship, to FF 7's Materias.

Tactics story takes place in basically the after-apocalyptic time, were all previous games (and 12) are in the past, and are shown to have only ruins and relics left of all of them, and after a complete apocalypse of all previous civilizations from all games, until humanity rebuilt society.

Two dancers, one bard, two mimes. Slow dance the shit out of everything, cheer song and battle song the shit out of your own party, and then wiznaibus enemies for massive damage. The mimes have the highest attack growth in the game, so they make excellent dancers and they easy to use mimic with. It's a slow method, but it's a lot of fun. I played through the entire game doing this starting from the middle of chapter 1.

yeah but the downsides to breaking a law are a slap on the wrist compared to gba. Losing a temporary stat bonus and the ability to revive is nothing compared to losing a unit for the rest of the battle and that unit can possibly lose stats permanently or losing one time gear.

This, pretty much. There are plots in FFTA2. Some of them are even pretty decent. But all of them are side quests disconnected from the plot itself, and the main story itself feels like a bunch of unrelated side quests strung together.

One really nice thing about all the actual side quests, though, is that whichever party member you selected for them first is treated as the leader of your party during dialogue. So if you hate the main character's guts, you can basically ignore him outside of the plot and stick with a Viera or Bangaa or something.
