Killer7 was actually cut and sliced from its original story, which was even more political (and referential to The Silver Case which is one of Suda51's most influential game, basically a VN where people around "Japan" are killing each other because the moon is influencing their minds), if you want to know more about the story and world building look up Hand in killer7, which is just as bizarre and surreal as the main game and adds the really baller concept of history revisionism - basically all the events of the games are orchestrated by a CIAnigger who is trying to get revenge on the Heaven Smiles and Kun Lan, making the Killer7 even more of a disposable pawn in the inner machinations of their world, and even HE HIMSELF is being played like a fiddle by the US government

Like, you take the main thing that makes your game stand out and change it arbitrarily cause "muh broader audiences". Also TV Dinnah is the fucking best boss battle, I love it when games have this sort of mixed battles.
