But it always starts at anime and grows out from that warped obsession with anime. You aren't going to see a guy wishing they were Japanese because they read the Tale of Genji or Tales of the Heike or really admite Shinto shrines. It just isn't happening.

I wouldn't go that far, sure the mech segments are cool but the on ground segments are filled with enemies that are practically psychic. lots of trial and error unless you have the reflexes of god himself.

I kinda wished Monolith made a sequel to this game. The mech parts of this game were amazing but the fucking enemies that can see you from fucking across corners and the critical hit system (which is fun when you use it but it's not so fun enemies instakills you) really hold it back. Plus, they could have made the human models look better if they used NOLF's version of Lithtech. But seeing the shit that Monolith is pumping out, maybe it's a good thing that Blood, NOLF and Shogo died before they could get pozzed/shat on at all.
