What are some melee games that ==AREN'T== fighting games? I feel like beating the shit out of someone/something.
>Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
<Virtually dead; only remaining players are super-sweaties who abuse the broken mechanics, fucking archers
>Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior
<Hilarious voice acting, large and beautiful maps, variety of characters and weapons, faster gamespeed means laggy-draggy bullshit isn't a problem like in Medieval Warfare
<Literally dead; zero players on SteamCharts
>Dark Souls 1
<Virtually dead; only remaining PVPers are super-sweaties who abuse the broken mechanics
<Already played hundreds of hours of singleplayer
>Dark Souls 2
<Floaty as fuck, awful graphics, copy-paste boss design, forgettable music, dull NPCs, nonsensical world design
<3 DLCs and a re-release and they still couldn't unfuck the core mechanics
>Dark Souls 3
<Bulk of enemy movesets consist of autistic flailing, forgettable music, dull NPCs, colour pallete consists of grey and brown, roll spam, estus spam
>Mount & Blade: Warband
>Excellent mechanics, especially horseback combat
<Multiplayer is virtually dead, and playing with randoms gets boring quickly
<Singleplayer becomes a dull game of cat and mouse when you reach the point of fighting for a faction (everyone smaller than you runs off, everyone bigger than you follows you around and scares off your allies)
>Mount & Blade: Napoleonic Wars
<Virtually only playable within a regiment, which realistically means only playing a couple times a week at scheduled events
>Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
<Yet to play it, looks fun but not sure about long-term replayability
>Batman: Arkham Asylum
<Easily the best in its sub-genre of 3rd-person brawling games
<Little replayability
>Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
<Fun for a little while, but incredibly monotonous
