Are there any video games that allow/force you to play as a henchman for an antagonist against a hero? I'm struggling to think of any. There's plenty of games where you play as some no-name nobody that rises to fame, but that's often sandbox open-world games with no direction, or with a character creator or some other shit. I'm referring to being someone small on the "wrong" side in the face of a larger conflict and story. Bonus points if the villains are actually represented in a non-joke fashion fitting the "evil" side's perspective (These people viewing and believing in their leader's ideals and visions and putting their loyalty on the line to see it to fruition, and so forth). I want to see a henchman rise to a high rank, or maybe just stay as a mook and grow in power and build camaraderie or something.
Bonus points if it has shit like people and mentors that your henchman character forms bonds with that get destroyed by the hero/protagonist of the story.
