Kind of hard to think of ones that are outright winter themed outside of snowboard/winter olympics shit, at least for me anyhow. Do know some games with snowy regions, but they're usually later in the games, and just for a section. Also a few that start cold but soon leave for warmer areas. Might as well just put on some chilly vidya music instead; I know some anon put together a winter vidya OST album before.

Also I know it's summer, but where do you live that you consider it unbearably hot? Because I live in a desert and it's not been that bad, at least this year (last year was awful, even by my standards).

One of the things I enjoy about winter is coming out of the cold, dressing down into comfy clothes, and then cozying up in bed with the heater turned up. I don't think any game can accurately replicate that feeling.

Man I feel you, but I can't think of a truly "winter" game. There's winter levels sure but I can't think of a game that keeps it consistent throughout. Just a few more months though, brother, then we can get our comfy jackets out of the closet and drink stouts and spirits

I've heard mixed things about Steep, but since we're not likely to get another pic related ever (even a remake as a cheap downloadable title on Switch would be fucking welcome at this point) it's probably the best you're gonna get.

I Am Setsuna is all about the world ending in ice and sending a maiden on a sacrificial pilgrimage to save the world. The setting and the constant piano music gets real old after twenty hours though.

Where I live, our seasons are early summer, mid summer, late summer, and winter. And while winter night lows of 30s might not sound that bad, when we've got summer highs that can reach up to 120 on a bad year, that's a pretty drastic shift. And there's honestly more ways to deal with the heat here than the cold.

I fucking hate winter weather. Not cold enough and too low altitude to get snow as a perk here (but at least we don't have to shovel the stuff either), so all we wind up with is frigid wind, which isn't fun. Especially back when I was in high school; classes started so early, so I'd be stuck waiting for the bus in the dark under a dim streetlight, trying not to freeze each morning. And while there's always turning up the heater, houses here are made to better vent heat than retain it.
