The cluster system was adapted in Wild World in order to have a greater variety of dialog, by assembling a set of phrases and terms it could effectively have more dialog than what would have fit on the cartridge with everything else, it works nice in japanese because you can cram a LOT of words in a small space but it doesn't do so well with english, it's been the system for dialog for all games after the DS one and Happy Home Academy. This contrasts with the Gamecube system where they had big chunks of (mostly) unique dialog with a few out of the bunch picked out to have terms inserted.

I mean, I've been playing the games since they came out and the only other character I'd have instead of her is Tom Nook and even then I'd probably want her more. Tom Nook is more iconic, but she is definitely gaining on him and shes only been in one that I care about game. Not only that but the game she came out for was great and she was the representation of what made that game great (the mayor stuff). Plus she's a cute dog girl. I think four + echo is pushing it. I'd take Tom Nook as a third, with his own unique moveset, he certainly has the potential for one. Digby could probably work better as an alternate costume, unless they more heavily differentiate Isabelle from Villager next time. And people have been saying for a while that they don't see Animal Crossing characters belonging in Smash, but I don't really see K.K. fitting in. He's way too comfy of a character. I wouldn't mind all of HHD's mechanics being implemented. If there's one thing that spinoff did right, it made house decorating great. I also just had an idea of how the touch control furniture rearranging could work. It could bring up a screen that has a top-down view of all the furniture in the room. there tabs at the top or sides that include all the furniture you own, whether it's actually in your inventory or in storage. You can move a cursor with the thumbstick and drag/drop/rotate everything just like in HHD, it also works with joycon motion control and handheld touch control. There would also be buttons to switch to different rooms without having to leave the menu. Now I feel like I'm going to disappoint myself when this is not in the game.

There's a larger focus on building the town as a whole than building your personal home in New Leaf. But yeah, it's pretty much the same. You grind for bells on an island and instead of putting that money into a house you put it into public works projects so the animals get a new bench or something. It's still cozy, but if that's not your thing then it might not be for you. The villager interactions have changed a little bit, but they still just ask you to do their chores. Occasionally they'll ask if you want to hang out at their house or invite themselves to visit your home.
