Dark souls will always be my favorite game. I bought it when I was only in 7th grade and still remember the weekends I spent with the family laptop on a cardboard box in front of me, chatting with /v/ (and eventually /vg/) and asking for help. Guys like onlyafro (and lucifer) would actually help people out and everybody knew each other. Very fun atmosphere. Played it through like 15 times with a bunch of different builds. Favorite was pyromancy until I learned about the legend min max, which I rocked with.
Favorite boss - Nito (for atmosphere), Iron Golem (character design), 4 Kings (difficulty)

old world blues - didn't like it much, very lonely, but I have nostalgia since I had new vegas since I was a kid and this was the first DLC I bought. Tons of nice gadgets even though they suck once you know the game well enough
lonesome road - I'm always level 30 or higher by the time I get to lonesome road, so I annihilate everything on very hard + hardcore, weapons suck, enemies are cool but no side quests, so it sucks
honest hearts - so boring

massive time sink. I love hate this game. Highest I ever beat it on a semi-legit (I always save scum) playthough was level 6 emperor. I'm sure I could beat it on deity without trying too hard since I logged around 800 hours but its just not fun. i always enjoyed it for city building, the game is like cocaine.

I forgot to mention Mount and Blade: Warband, my all time favorite game. Some guy from /v/ gifted it to me back in 2012. Logged about 1000 hours on it. Never beat the campaign because I always went really slow and after day 700 the game bugs out. I rock at multiplayer (and napoleonic wars) although I'm not able to parry spam. I'm usually on the top or top 3 though. I love mount and blade. I wish it didn't die off in the past few years, you used to be able to find many mod servers like Full Invasion II but they're empty now.

I suggest emulating the PSP version or getting a used copy. Modern NISAmerica is cancer and not worth supporting. The Disgaea series is great but the American localization team is likely the worst in the industry. i legitimately never understood why people like ja2. the amount of equipment selection was good, but the maps were boring, the weather and rng were just irritating and the ui was mediocre.

The ui annoyed me when I first started until I worked out the hot keys. The weather never seemed like a big issue and if there was no rng I probably would have gotten bored with it. The maps are hit and miss though.

Past a certain point I believe the concept of favorite games becomes pointless, to the point where even if you do enjoy something more than whatever was your favorite at a point in time, it's not going to become your favorite as easily since it needs to stand a test of time, and there are also more of other game that reside in the same limbo category not getting an upperhand, not staying in your focus long enough to challenge your childhood favorites.
