I think I bought Uncharted 3 used a good while back. I will admit it was entertaining, but it was only entertaining once. The thing with the Uncharted series is just like every modern day game that is praised by masses its main draw is the plot. So once you're done with the story, there is literally nothing else to do since the gameplay is so incredibly dull. I'll watch Indiana Jones many times but I could only give this CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE only one go.

I found 1-3 enjoyable, not necessarily 'good' but they had some charm, got to shoot things and see cool backdrops and the characters were cheeky and fun before the idea of "cheeky" got ran into the ground. Uncharted 4 was an incredible abortion though. I knew it wasn't going to be that good going into it but it was flat out bad on many levels, I'd say like 60% of the fucking game in 4 is forced walking sequences or some form of padding with few appearances of fan-favorite characters and the worst villains presented. It's evident of the mindset of post-hennig naughty dog being run into the dirt by druckman who's the most no-fun allowed piece of shit in the industry right now

The reason why Halo is so influential is because they finally got the fucking message that you can't develop an FPS with the assumption of M&KB when it's going to be on consoles where the only input you have are shitty analog sticks. Halo gutted the FPS formula to make everything slow and simple, with a regenerating shield/health and a generous helping of highly aggressive auto-aim… just so it could be minimally functional on a broken control scheme. This wasn't good enough, however, and so Gears of War brought a further refinement by shifting gameplay to a third-person perspective and sticking you behind a chest-high wall for 90% of the game giving you ample time to carefully line up a shot and then wait to play wack-a-mole.
Halo and later Gears didn't improve shooters… they just crippled themselves so that controllers could keep up.

the plataforming is linear and piss easy but there is some exploration challenge if you search for all secret collectibles, puzzles are dumb but still satisfying and combat is ok even if it's shitty covershooter, mixing it with the arkham meele and parkour makes it fun, it's also pretty darn entretaining as a movie
